Purpose

Al Boom Marine (ABM) is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented E-commerce Merchandiser to join its growing Omni team. The role is responsible for driving online sales and conversion by delivering a best-in-class shopping experience across ABM’s brand websites. The role owns end-to-end product setup, on-site merchandising, stock visibility and promotional execution, ensuring the right products are presented to the right customer at the right time and in line with brand standards.

Responsibilities

On-site Merchandising & Website Optimisation

• Merchandise category and collection pages (product sequencing, featured SKUs, sold-out management) based on sales, stock depth and seasonal priorities.

• Manage homepage banners, landing pages and promotional content to drive engagement.

• Configure and manage search, discovery and recommendation tools (upsell, cross-sell, related products) in line with commercial objectives.

• Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and visual standards.

Product Setup & Catalogue Management

• Upload and maintain accurate product listings, descriptions, pricing, imagery and attributes across the e-commerce platform (Shopify Plus).

• Ensure timely go-live of new arrivals, product launches, price changes and stock updates.

• Optimize product categorization, collections, tags and filters to improve browsing, search and discovery.

• Maintain catalogue hygiene – resolve missing content, broken listings, out-of-stock visibility and data errors.

Promotions & Campaign Execution

• Work with the marketing team and agencies to plan and execute promotions, discounts and seasonal campaigns (e.g., Black Friday, Ramadan, Back to School).

• Set up and QA promotional pricing, discount codes and campaign pages ahead of launch.

• Coordinate product placements and highlight key SKUs to maximise sales during campaigns.

Stock & Range Management

• Work with buyers and logistics to monitor online stock availability, aged inventory and sell-through.

• Flag stock risks and opportunities (low cover on best-sellers, slow movers) and recommend merchandising or promotional actions.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

• Monitor product and category performance – sales, conversion, sell-through and customer behavior – using Google Analytics, Shopify reports and e-commerce dashboards.

• Prepare regular trading reports and provide actionable insights to improve merchandising, pricing and range decisions.

Customer Experience

• Monitor site navigation, customer feedback and product reviews; identify and implement improvements.

• Regularly QA the website across desktop and mobile to ensure a seamless customer journey.

Collaboration & Vendor Coordination

• Partner with marketing, design, buying, logistics and IT teams to ensure seamless execution of merchandising plans.

• Support content development for product launches, collections and brand stories.

• Coordinate with external vendors and agencies, and manage and process their invoices.

Key Performance Indicators

• Online conversion rate and revenue by category

• Sell-through and stock availability of key SKUs

• Speed to live for new products (time from stock receipt to online)

• Catalogue accuracy and content completeness

• Campaign go-live accuracy and on-time delivery

Position Specifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail or a related field.

Experience

• 2–4 years’ experience in e-commerce merchandising, preferably in retail, fashion, footwear or sports.

• Hands-on experience with Shopify / Shopify Plus (or similar platforms such as Magento or WooCommerce); marketplace experience is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong commercial and analytical mindset; proficient in Excel and Google Analytics.

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple launches and deadlines.

• Good visual sense and understanding of the online customer journey.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Proactive, highly motivated team player with a passion for sports and lifestyle retail.

• Arabic language skills are an advantage.
