About the Role
We are looking for a skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain our growing IT infrastructure. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our systems remain secure, scalable, and highly available - while enabling teams to operate smoothly across platforms.
- Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of networks, servers and related hardware/software.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and proactively implement improvements to ensure availability and reliability.
- Lead implementation of security protocols - firewalls, encryption, and access controls-to protect against cybersecurity threats.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in compliance with internal policies and security standards.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for integration, upgrades, and issue resolution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and incident responses.
- Support audits, compliance efforts, and technical evaluations across internal teams.
- End-user support for Mac/Windows within the organisation.
- Exposure to Okta, G Suite administration and Active Directory
- Exposure to MDM tools like Cisco Meraki, Hexnode.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux system administration.
- Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN).
- Knowledge of security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, access controls, encryption).
- Responsible for managing assets and conducting routine asset audits on a regular basis.
- Familiarity with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Bash for automation.
- Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimisation.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or verbally; good phone skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, multi-location, cloud-first organisations and high-availability production environments.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting Mac-related systems, ensuring the seamless functioning and uninterrupted productivity of the organisation.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- IT certifications (AWS SysOps, Azure Admin, RHCE, etc.) are a plus.
- CompTIA Server+, Network+, Security+
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Windows Server
- AWS/Azure Cloud Certifications
- ITIL, CISSP (for security-focused roles)
Workplace and Location
This role is based in our Bengaluru office, and we are not considering remote applications at this time. We operate on a 5-day in-office model. We also offer relocation assistance to new employees.
