As a Principal Project Engineer, you’ll partner with world-class engineering, supply chain, quality, manufacturing, and customer teams to maintain fleet performance and ensure seamless propulsion system integration throughout the operational lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning, prioritization, and execution of projects to meet performance, schedule, and cost targets.
  • Drive cross‑functional coordination to resolve technical issues spanning design, analysis, test, manufacturing, and field operations.
  • Partner with aircraft OEMs to define requirements, resolve technical issues, and maintain alignment with program objectives.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on technical deliverables, quality assurance, and schedule recovery; support trade studies and design improvements.
  • Lead root‑cause investigations for field reliability, in‑service events, and production escapes; ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
  • Own cost accounts and manage budgets, forecasts, resource fill rates, and earned value performance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Communicate team status, risks, recommendations, and recovery plans to leadership and customers; support formal program reviews.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in design, development and/or test of gas turbine engines, nacelle systems, engine control systems or other complex mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methods (e.g. Microsoft Project, Agile Scrum/Kanban, Earned Value Management System)

US PERSONS REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

WE VALUE

  • Proven leadership across complex technical programs, with cross‑functional coordination and project management responsibility including scope, schedule, budget, and earned value.
  • Deep understanding of FAA 14 CFR Part 33 and Part 25 engine and nacelle certification.
  • Direct experience with root-cause investigations, cost reduction, reliability improvements, or production support.
  • Strong systems engineering and requirements management skills spanning hardware and software.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for winning and urgency in execution.
  • Clear, effective communicator who builds strong relationships.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to lead in ambiguous, dynamic environments.
  • Excellent prioritization and resource-management capability.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
