What You'll Do

  • Administer Medications: Safely administer medications according to physician orders, care plans, and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Document medication administration accurately using electronic medication records.
  • Monitor Resident Well-Being: Observe residents for changes in condition, medication side effects, or concerns and report them promptly.
  • Support Daily Living: Assist residents with personal care and daily activities while promoting dignity and independence.
  • Build Meaningful Connections: Develop positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
  • Bring Positive Energy: Help create a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued and supported.

What You'll Bring

  • Required Credentials: Meet applicable Iowa Medication Aide certification and training requirements.
  • Attention to Detail: Follow medication administration procedures carefully and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, and team members.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Comfort using electronic systems for medication tracking and documentation.
