Job Description

Manage the Trademark Section of the Group Legal Department and act as Secretary to the Board of Directors and to the Board Project Marketing and Audit Committees of LERCO (Libyan Emirates Refining Company DMCC). Responsible for drafting agreements, contracts, Power of Attorneys, legal notices, Quitclaims, Affidavits, legal instruments, Memorandums of Association and their Amendments (Addendums), incorporation documents pertaining to the Group and the translation of Legal Documents/Instruments to secure the legal rights and interests of the Group.

• Manage the Trademark / IP Section of the Legal Department of the Group. • Render legal advice with respect to registration, opposition, protection and defense of trademarks and IP rights of all Group Companies raise oppositions against any infringement/unfair competition to the Group brands or application/registration we deem an imitation and oppose any objections filed to such oppositions plead attend/appear at hearing for defending and securing trademark, Copyright, and IP rights appertaining to the Group. • Act as Secretary to the Board of Directors and to the Board Project Marketing Committee and Audit Committee of the Libyan Emirates Refining Company DMCC in order to accurately document minutes and recollection of decisions at Board and Committees and Annual Business Meetings. • Drafting of Shareholders and Board of Directors Resolutions and other legal instruments including Determination of eligibility to vote, Assurance of continuity of policies and practices and observation of bylaws, establishment of accountability of directors and officers and undertake travel to Libya to accomplish assigned duties and missions and other assignments as required, in accordance with Group Legal policy and procedures. • Drafting of Legal Documents such as Incorporation Documents, Agreements and Contracts, Shareholders and General Assembly Resolutions, Power of Attorneys, Authorizations, Legal Warnings, Affidavits, Quit Claims, and other Legal Instruments in accordance with Group Legal Policy and procedures. • Translation and revision of all kinds of legal documents to ensure accuracy of translation and vetting of legal documents to ascertain their legal accuracy and conformity.

• Provide motions, recommendations and reports to support the Group Vice President Legal in vital strategic / business decisions.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

• PREFERRED : • Knowledge of Trademarks and IP Rights. • Knowledge of drafting corporate. • Commercial and legal documents. • Knowledge of vetting and translation of legal documents. • Technical English Skills.

• MINIMUM : • Bachelor Degree in Law or Economics or other related major and a supporting qualification in Technical English.

Experience:
