About the Role

We are looking for an organized, creative and hands-on Podcast Producer to lead the end-to-end production and delivery of Alea’s two podcasts.

The Podcast Producer will be responsible for the complete operational process, from initial planning and pre-production through recording, post-production, approval and final publication. The role will ensure that every episode is produced on time, meets Alea’s quality standards and supports the company’s communications and brand objectives.

Working closely with the Head of PR & Communications, the Podcast Producer will help define the strategy, positioning, editorial direction and distribution approach for both podcasts. This person will then translate that strategy into a structured production plan and manage its day-to-day execution.

This role is ideal for someone who combines editorial judgement, project management and technical production skills and who is comfortable coordinating guests, managing recordings, reviewing edits and overseeing publication across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Podcast Strategy and Editorial Planning

  • Define the strategy, positioning, objectives and target audience for both podcasts in collaboration with the Head of PR & Communications.
  • Contribute ideas for themes, episode topics, formats, guests and editorial series.
  • Develop and manage an editorial calendar and release schedule for both podcasts.
  • Ensure podcast topics and guests are aligned with Alea’s brand positioning, communications priorities and business objectives.
  • Research relevant industry topics, trends and conversations to identify new editorial opportunities.
  • Prepare episode concepts and proposals for review and approval by the Head of PR & Communications.
  • Regularly review the performance and direction of both podcasts and recommend strategic improvements.

2. Pre-production

  • Manage the complete pre-production process for every episode.
  • Research topics, guests and relevant background information.
  • Identify and coordinate potential guests in collaboration with the Head of PR & Communications and other stakeholders.
  • Manage guest invitations, confirmations, calendars and all pre-recording communications.
  • Prepare episode briefs, scripts, interview structures, talking points and run-of-show documents.
  • Organize recording schedules, locations and required resources.
  • Coordinate studios, external production partners or technical suppliers when needed.
  • Confirm that recording equipment, software, lighting, sound and other technical requirements are ready before each session.
  • Brief hosts, guests and relevant stakeholders before recording.
  • Ensure all necessary permissions, consent forms and content approvals are obtained.

3. Recording and Live Production

  • Lead and coordinate each recording session, ensuring the process runs smoothly from start to finish.
  • Set up or supervise cameras, microphones, lighting and recording software.
  • Perform technical checks before every recording.
  • Direct hosts and guests during the session when required.
  • Monitor audio and video quality throughout the recording.
  • Follow the agreed episode structure while allowing space for natural and engaging conversations.
  • Identify strong moments, quotes and potential promotional clips during the recording.
  • Resolve operational or technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all recorded material is correctly saved, backed up and organized after each session.

4. Post-production and Quality Control

  • Manage the full post-production process for every episode.
  • Edit or coordinate the editing of audio and video content.
  • Review all edits and provide clear feedback to internal or external editors.
  • Ensure the final episode has strong pacing, narrative flow and consistent audio and video quality.
  • Coordinate the addition of intros, outros, music, graphics, subtitles and other branded elements.
  • Identify and prepare the strongest moments for trailers, teasers and promotional clips.
  • Ensure every episode follows Alea’s brand guidelines and editorial standards.
  • Manage the internal review and approval process with the Head of PR & Communications.
  • Complete a final quality check before publication, including audio, video, titles, descriptions, links, subtitles and visual assets.
  • Maintain an organized archive of raw recordings, project files, final episodes and supporting materials.

5. Publication and Distribution

  • Manage the publication of each episode across the relevant podcast and video platforms.
  • Upload and publish episodes on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Audible, YouTube and any other selected distribution channels.
  • Prepare accurate and engaging episode titles, descriptions, show notes, timestamps and supporting copy.
  • Coordinate thumbnails, cover images and other visual assets with the Design team.
  • Ensure episodes are correctly categorized, tagged and optimized for discoverability.
  • Coordinate publication dates and promotional activity with the Head of PR & Communications and Social Media & Content Manager.
  • Verify that every episode is published correctly and is accessible across all relevant platforms.
  • Update or correct published content when necessary.
  • Ensure podcast information and episodes are properly featured on alea.com when relevant.

6. Promotional Content Coordination

  • Identify the strongest quotes, insights and moments from each episode for promotional use.
  • Create or coordinate trailers, teasers, audiograms and short-form video clips.
  • Provide the Social Media & Content Manager with the materials, context and key messages needed to promote each episode.
  • Collaborate on the preparation of an episode-specific promotional plan.
  • Ensure all promotional assets are delivered before the agreed publication date.
  • Coordinate with the Design team on thumbnails, templates, graphics and other branded materials.
  • Support the repurposing of podcast episodes into articles, social media posts and other communication formats.

7. Production and Stakeholder Management

  • Own and maintain the production workflow for both podcasts.
  • Coordinate hosts, guests, internal teams, studios and external suppliers.
  • Create clear timelines and ensure all milestones and publication deadlines are met.
  • Keep the Head of PR & Communications informed about progress, risks, delays and required decisions.
  • Manage feedback and approvals efficiently to avoid production bottlenecks.
  • Maintain production documentation, episode trackers, guest information and content archives.
  • Monitor external production costs and resources when applicable.
  • Identify opportunities to make the production process more efficient, scalable and consistent.

8. Performance Analysis and Optimization

  • Track podcast performance across the relevant distribution and video platforms.
  • Monitor metrics such as downloads, plays, views, watch time, audience retention, completion rate and subscriber growth.
  • Analyse performance by podcast, episode, topic, guest and content format.
  • Prepare regular performance reports with key findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Report results and insights to the Head of PR & Communications.
  • Use audience and performance data to improve topics, formats, episode duration, production and distribution.
  • Monitor podcast trends, competitors and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities for growth.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
