The EV market is moving fast, and so are we. That’s why we’re looking for a Head of Network Development in Berlin.

About the role

As Head of Network Development in Germany, you will lead the expansion of our ultra-fast charging network across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as Slovenia and Poland.

You will define and execute the growth strategy, be responsible for securing prime locations, and build a strong pipeline of projects to support Allego’s development beyond 2027. A crucial part of this role will be to build strong industry relationships and successfully secure attractive highway and retail tenders.

Working closely with central teams, you will play an active role in shaping Allego’s European network strategy and ensuring strong alignment between local execution and global priorities.

You will report to the Director of Network Development.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive network expansion by identifying, securing, and developing high-quality charging locations across the region
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of sites to support long-term growth
  • Lead partnerships and deal-making, negotiating and closing agreements with landowners and strategic partners
  • Structure scalable partnerships to accelerate deployment
  • Own the development pipeline, overseeing projects from origination to handover and setting clear priorities
  • Represent Allego in the German market, building relationships with key stakeholders and strengthening market presence
  • Lead and develop the team, fostering a high-performing and accountable environment

Allego has a modern office near Ostbahnhof in Berlin. We believe that regular in-person fosters stronger teamwork, knowledge sharing, and faster decision-making, and therefore encourage a regular presence in the office.

This is you (or close enough)

  • Strong experience in site acquisition or retail real estate (including shopping centres, retail parks, grocery or QSR environments), as well as infrastructure or energy development
  • Proven track record in negotiating and closing complex commercial deals
  • Ability to build and manage a robust pipeline of projects
  • Good understanding of the EV charging ecosystem or adjacent industries
  • Natural leadership with experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong commercial mindset and ability to operate in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
