Chemical Process Engineer

Full Time

Palm Coast, FL

At Alleima BU Medical, we partner with leading OEMs to design, develop, and manufacture life-changing medical solutions. Our products—ranging from ultra-fine wire to precision tubing—enable technologies that improve and save lives every day. From glucose monitors to cochlear implants, our work touches patients across the globe.

We are on an exciting growth journey, with new manufacturing sites, strategic acquisitions, and a rapidly expanding global footprint. With production facilities in Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Italy, and the USA, we are proud to be a truly international team.

Your Role

As a Chemical Process Engineer at Alleima, you will be responsible for optimizing and advancing manufacturing processes with a strong focus on fine wire coating operations, supporting cost savings, efficiency, capability, reliability, quality, and safety at our manufacturing unit.

Your key responsibilities will include:

—— Designing and optimizing coating processes and equipment configurations for fine wire products, considering product requirements, process capability, environmental impact, and economic performance.

— Testing, controlling, and optimizing coating solution chemistry to consistently produce high-quality products that meet customer and internal quality standards.

— Developing, validating, and transferring new or improved coating processes and technologies from laboratory or pilot scale to full production.

— Ensuring new or modified equipment meets coating process requirements through pre-build design qualification, commissioning, and post-installation testing.

— Providing technical support and troubleshooting for existing coating equipment and chemical processes.

— Collecting and analyzing process and quality data to characterize current performance, identify root causes, and quantify improvement opportunities.

— Creating, reviewing, and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with current standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

— Applying continuous improvement methodologies to improve process stability, reduce variation, and enhance safety and overall operational performance.

About You

We are looking for candidates with a degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Materials Engineering, along with 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry. Alternatively, 10+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry would be considered in place of a degree. Higher degrees and/or experience working in fine wire, extrusion, coiling, or electroplating industry may be substituted for some years of experience and/or education.

You are able to manage multiple complex projects and prioritize them accordingly. You have strong analytical, creative thinking, and problem —solving skills while being persistent in finding solutions. Your ability to interact with members of R&D, operations, marketing, sales, finance, and quality is crucial. You understand that being the best isn't about outshining others—it's about pushing boundaries, learning, and growing together. At Alleima, we constantly learn from the past to forge a better future, and we welcome you to be part of this cycle of innovation.

What You Can Expect From Us

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
