This role sits within the Pharmacy Operations job family and is accountable for translating company strategy into scalable, high-performing regional operations while developing strong site-level leadership.

As a Senior Manager, Pharmacy Operations, you will lead and develop a team of Pharmacy Fulfillment Managers, partnering closely with Pharmacy Operations, Clinical, Talent Acquisition, HR, Logistics, and other cross-functional leaders to optimize performance across the fulfillment network. This role requires strategic thinking, strong operational judgment, and the ability to drive measurable improvements in patient experience, safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance while maintaining rigorous compliance in a highly regulated environment. You will play a critical role in scaling operations, implementing company-wide initiatives, and building the processes, tools, and leadership capabilities needed to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead regional operational strategy, execution, and performance across multiple pharmacy fulfillment sites, ensuring alignment with company objectives and broader operational priorities
  • Drive regulatory compliance and operational readiness in accordance with applicable federal and state pharmacy regulations, payer requirements, and internal quality standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Pharmacy Fulfillment Managers, building leadership capabilities, establishing performance expectations, and supporting succession planning
  • Establish and scale standardized processes, tools, and resources that improve site-level execution, operational consistency, and long-term performance
  • Define, monitor, and improve key operational metrics across safety, quality, cost, productivity, and delivery timeliness, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Apply Lean, Kaizen, and other process improvement methodologies to identify inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and optimize end-to-end pharmacy fulfillment workflows
  • Oversee inventory management, workforce planning, staffing models, and space utilization in partnership with site leadership to ensure compliant, efficient, and cost-effective operations
  • Partner cross-functionally with Recruiting and HR to attract, retain, and develop pharmacy talent while building a strong leadership pipeline across the region
  • Analyze financial and operational data, including P&L performance, to identify trends, manage costs, evaluate performance, and inform strategic and tactical decisions
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for significant site-level operational events, leading issue resolution, risk mitigation, and recovery efforts to maintain safe, reliable, and uninterrupted service
  • Establish and oversee audit, quality assurance, and compliance review processes to maintain inspection readiness and uphold regulatory and operational standards
  • Lead the regional implementation of corporate initiatives, ensuring site readiness, stakeholder alignment, effective change management, and consistent execution
  • Support new site launches, operational transitions, expansions, and restructuring initiatives to enable scalable growth and maintain continuity of pharmacy services

Required Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in fulfillment, healthcare, pharmacy, or operations leadership, including responsibility for multi-site operations
  • Demonstrated success leading high-volume fulfillment operations, healthcare services, or pharmacy operations in a performance-driven environment
  • Experience managing teams in highly regulated, compliance-driven environments, with a strong understanding of operational controls, quality standards, and risk management
  • Proven track record of developing leaders, managing diverse teams, and driving accountability and performance across multiple sites
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including experience using operational data, financial metrics, and P&L insights to guide decision-making and improve business performance
  • Proficiency with analytical and reporting tools such as Excel, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders at multiple levels, and translate strategic priorities into effective operational execution
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and change-management skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and resolve complex operational challenges
  • Experience implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, compliance, and service delivery in a dynamic operating environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Leadership, or a related field
  • 3+ years of regional or multi-site pharmacy leadership experience
  • Lean Six Sigma, APICS, or other relevant operations, supply chain, or quality certifications
  • Deep knowledge of pharmacy fulfillment workflows, inventory management, courier logistics, and end-to-end pharmacy operations
  • Experience scaling operations in high-growth environments, including site launches, organizational transitions, or network expansion
  • Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, or other operational excellence methodologies

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
