Job Title: Weaponeering & Targeting Analyst – FMS Support

Company: Altus Engineering

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

Salary:$130,000 - $175,000 annually

Position Overview: Altus Engineering is seeking a Weaponeering & Targeting Analyst to support the Joint Technical Coordinating Group for Munitions Effectiveness (JTCG/ME) Program Office. You will apply targeting and weaponeering expertise to review technical data, verify software and munitions baselines, and support the provision of approved JTCG/ME products to international partners through Foreign Military Sales (FMS). This position is well suited to experienced military targeting professionals or analysts supporting munitions and weaponeering software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and compare weaponeering data, weapon/platform/fuze configurations, and technical baselines to identify discrepancies and support accurate partner-nation products.
  • Apply knowledge of targeting and Collateral Damage Estimation (CDE) methodologies to review supporting tables, data, and software outputs.
  • Coordinate with software developers and technical experts to document discrepancies, investigate calculation differences, and verify corrections.
  • Assemble technical release documentation and supporting materials for Government foreign disclosure review.
  • Support FMS requirements development and review technical inputs to Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOA), amendments, and modifications for consistency with approved scope and disclosure guidance.

  • Prepare and present technical briefings and status updates for Government leadership, Program Management Reviews (PMRs), and partner-nation engagements.
  • Support CONUS and OCONUS meetings, technical exchanges, and customer engagements as required.

Qualifications/Desired Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in targeting, weaponeering, munitions analysis, or related technical support.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET security clearance required; TOP SECRET/SCI eligibility preferred.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Joint Munitions Effectiveness Manual (JMEM) products, U.S. weaponeering baselines, or targeting data and weapon/platform/fuze configurations.
  • Understanding of CDE and no-strike methodologies and their application to targeting and weaponeering products.
  • Experience supporting foreign disclosure reviews, technical release documentation, or coordination with Government Foreign Disclosure Officers.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience comparing technical datasets, maintaining tracking matrices, and identifying discrepancies.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, or equivalent tools to maintain technical documentation, track discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and work effectively with Government personnel, software developers, and operational users.
  • Willing and able to travel CONUS and OCONUS and obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
  • A college degree is preferred but not required. Relevant military training and operational experience may substitute for formal education.

In addition to these skills, we also desire a candidate who has provided previous support or has experience with the following:

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
