About the Position

We are seeking a Director Commercial Strategy & Market Development EMM to drive the commercial execution and performance realization of the division’s global growth agenda.

This is a global leadership role within the EMM Division reporting to the VP of Market and Business Development, ensuring that divisional commercial priorities are translated into concrete market actions and measurable results across regions. The position works closely with Market Division Managers (MDMs) and regional sales teams to ensure alignment, discipline, and transparency in delivering growth targets.

The role acts as a key interface between Sales, Business Development, Finance, Product & Technology, and Operations. Connecting market insights, customer opportunities, and operational capabilities into concrete commercial plans.

You will be responsible for business planning and own the global commercial operating framework, including processes, governance, pipeline management, performance tracking, and CRM steering. A key responsibility is driving short-term volume realization by challenging and supporting regions globally to convert targets into secured orders, including in markets where customers are not yet clearly defined.

This position may require travel for up to 40% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate divisional commercial priorities into regional execution plans and ensure disciplined follow-up through structured pipeline and performance reviews.
  • Drive short-term volume realization by actively challenging and supporting MDMs and regional sales teams to convert targets into secured orders.
  • Own and continuously improve global sales processes, governance structures, CRM usage, and KPI frameworks to ensure transparency, forecast reliability, and accountability.
  • Lead the divisional commercial planning process, consolidating regional inputs into reliable forecasts while identifying risks and prioritizing customers, applications, and projects in line with strategy and business plan.
  • Translate market intelligence into concrete actions and measurable targets, supporting cross-regional and strategic opportunities in close collaboration with Business Development.
  • Ensure strong cross-functional alignment with Product & Technology, Finance, and Operations to secure feasible, timely, and commercially sound execution.

Competence and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Business Administration, or similar technical/commercial discipline
  • Strong technical understanding of materials, components, or systems within automotive or industrial applications, preferably electromagnetic.
  • Experience from Sales Operations, Business Development, Product Management, Key Account Management, or commercial program management in a B2B environment
  • Proven experience working with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers
  • Strong expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, business planning, and performance tracking
  • Experience implementing structured sales processes and CRM-based steering
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional and cross-regional execution with senior stakeholders

Meritorious

  • Background in Powder Metallurgy and Soft Magnetics
  • Experience from international matrix organizations
  • Experience leading global commercial transformation initiatives

Personal Qualities

We are looking for a strategic yet hands-on leader who can translate high-level strategy into clear actions and measurable results. You are structured, disciplined, and performance-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. You are comfortable challenging and supporting regional organizations in a constructive way and thrive in a role that requires strong collaboration and follow-through. With strong stakeholder management skills and a high level of cultural awareness, you navigate complex international environments with confidence. Above all, you are collaborative, relationship-oriented, and motivated by turning commercial opportunities into tangible business outcomes.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
