Position Responsibilities:

Perform sound and vibration analysis for AWS data center infrastructure to ensure compliance with regulatory noise limits and internal AWS design standards. Perform acoustic modelling using specialized engineering software to predict data center sound emissions. Design and engineer mitigations to reduce sound emissions and specify appropriate equipment and technology to ensure compliance. Perform field and laboratory based sound level measurements, interpret regulatory requirements, and oversee the work of specialist engineering consultants.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Audio Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and five years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) developing acoustic models using CadnaA modelling software; (2) performing environmental noise studies for data center developments; and (3) managing quality assurance and control for acoustic consulting outputs.
