The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced Delivery Consultant — Mainframe Modernisation to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with enterprise customers to assess, design, and deliver mainframe migration and modernisation solutions on AWS. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through complex legacy transformation journeys, providing deep technical expertise in mainframe technologies and modern cloud-native architectures throughout the project lifecycle.

Possessing a strong understanding of mainframe platforms (z/OS, COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS) alongside AWS products and services, you will be proficient in architecting modernisation pathways — whether replatforming, refactoring, or re-engineering — tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You'll work closely with stakeholders to assess existing mainframe estates, evaluate application portfolios, and propose effective modernisation strategies that reduce technical debt, lower operational cost, and accelerate innovation on AWS.

As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide guidance on mainframe-to-cloud migration patterns, emerging technologies such as agentic AI and generative AI for code transformation, and industry-proven modernisation approaches. You will be responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimising performance, managing risk, and enabling customer teams to operate independently post-migration.

We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
