Are you a people-focused leader who thrives on keeping operations running smoothly? Amazon is looking for a Manager I, Facilities to lead a team responsible for the day-to-day operations of our facilities. In this role, you will directly supervise a team of individual contributors, ensuring that building systems perform reliably, maintenance tasks are completed on schedule, and service level agreements are consistently met. You will play a hands-on role in solving operational challenges, driving process improvements, and creating an environment where your team members feel valued and empowered to grow.

Key job responsibilities Lead and manage a team of facilities individual contributors, providing tactical direction on daily priorities, coaching team members on skill development, and conducting regular performance conversations that recognize strengths and address opportunity areas. Monitor facility system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate routine maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted building operations and adherence to service level agreements. Champion a safe work environment by following established safety protocols, identifying potential hazards, and encouraging your team to maintain rigorous safety standards across all work processes. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, communicating priorities clearly and partnering across teams to resolve conflicting needs and deliver successful outcomes for customers. Identify opportunities to improve tools, procedures, and workflows, recommending enhancements that drive operational efficiency and raise the quality of facilities services.

A day in the life You will start your day reviewing work queues and open maintenance tickets, then meet with your team to align on priorities and address any urgent facility issues. Throughout the day, you will walk the facility to inspect building systems, connect with stakeholders to understand their needs, and guide your team through troubleshooting efforts. You will also dedicate time to one-on-one conversations with your direct reports, discussing their progress toward development goals and providing real-time feedback.

- 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience - 2+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience - 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience - Work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays

- Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification - Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integrators - Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems - Experience in project management - Experience with statistical analysis
