The OTR Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Outbound Transportation operation, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of customer shipments while maintaining high operational and customer experience standards. The role owns end-to-end OTR performance across delivery station, including capacity planning, transportation execution, delivery performance, productivity, cost, quality, and compliance.
The role partners closely with Labor Planning, DSP/EDSP partners, and Central teams to develop and execute scalable mechanisms that support business growth and peak readiness. The OTR Manager uses data and deep operational analysis to identify performance gaps, drive root-cause resolution, and implement sustainable improvements across the network.
The role also leads cross-functional initiatives and new program launches, manages operational risks and escalations, and develops frontline and management teams through coaching, performance management, and continuous improvement. The OTR
Key job responsibilities 1-Supervise the preparation and execution of the OTR loadout process, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, effective exception management, and on-time dispatch to minimize operational delays. 2-Lead and coordinate Flex, Hub, XPT, and Delivery Station transportation operations, ensuring sufficient capacity and smooth execution across the Egypt Last Mile network. 3-Lead the Daily/Previous Day Business Review, working with Operations, Transportation, DSP/EDSP, and support teams to identify performance gaps, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive sustainable corrective actions. 4-Conduct regular Gemba walks across loadout and on-road operations to identify process gaps, safety risks, and execution opportunities, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions. 6-Own and continuously improve key On-the-Road performance metrics, including delivery productivity, route execution, delivery speed, capacity utilization, and on-time performance. 7-Monitor and improve on-road quality and customer experience metrics, including Delivery Success, Delivered DEA, FDDS, DNR, and other relevant Last Mile quality indicators. 8-Monitor daily capacity versus demand, identify emerging capacity and fleet constraints, and work with Labor Planning and Transportation teams to secure the required resources and mitigate operational risks. 9-Support new program launches, peak planning, and network changes by assessing OTR capacity requirements, transportation readiness, operational risks, and execution plans across Egypt.
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience - Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays - Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
