Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, is seeking an experienced Senior Digital Marketing Manager to support the worldwide public sector communications team through managing strategy, roadmaps, and content for AWS websites serving the U.S. government. In this role, you will own channel performance of these specialized websites. You will also implement best practices, utilize new tools and platforms to foster better customer experiences, and make continuous improvements based on data and insight. This person has hands-on experience with our marketing tools and is adept at working with stakeholders from across the business to deliver digital programs that deliver business results. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated and extremely organized individual with experience managing complex digital projects with multiple stakeholders and a proven track record of actively managing B2G or B2B marketing websites that drive new customer acquisition and generate pipeline. This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance post-hire.
Key job responsibilities - Design and execute digital marketing programs and content for a defined portfolio of government accounts, aligned to account-level business objectives, contract requirements and AWS sales priorities - Develop account-specific messaging, content, and campaigns that can be deployed across AWS digital channels and customer-owned digital channels, including those that require clearance and operate inside government intranet platforms. - Support digital initiatives to translate AWS cloud and generative AI capabilities into mission-relevant value propositions for government audiences, including via contractually-compliant features like “what’s new,” customer blog sites, and pricing and availability updates for AWS services used by federal government customers. - Partner closely with AWS field sales, solutions architects, government affairs, and partner teams to align marketing activity to account strategy and pipeline goals - Build and manage digital engagement programs, including briefings, roundtables, and immersive experiences tailored to senior government decision-makers, security cleared personnel and AWS marketing/sales leaders - Measure and report on digital program performance, including campaign ROI and customer consumption of clearance-restricted content — continuously optimizing based on data - Collaborate with the broader AWS Industry Marketing team to share insights, scale best practices, and contribute to the overall defense and national security go-to-market strategy - Represent AWS at key industry events, conferences, and forums
A day in the life AWS WWPS Marketing is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing enterprise-level customers including public sector customers in the defense and national security sectors of the US government. The Industry Marketing team focuses on building and executing the most effective, tailored and integrated plans for priority customers, both individually and in clusters. The Sr Digital Marketing Manager will partner with Sales and other enabling teams to research key customers and customer-specific contracts, understand the customer journey (including for clearance-restricted customers/accounts), develop go-to-market , and execute those events and engagements that help drive revenue. This role will interact with Sales teams focused on the US Defense and Intelligence Community, Global Defense Industrial Base Partners, and product and service teams developing innovative solutions for customers across the federal government.

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements - Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) - Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs - 6+ years of developing and managing digital marketing or channel programs experience - Experience developing and executing campaigns across multiple levels of security classification
- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners - Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint - Experience with government procurement and contracting process - Experience in the defense or national security industry

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
