At the heart of this success is ROW (Rest of World) Inbound, part of ROW APEX (Analytics, Product and Execution), which aims to improve reliability, cost-to-serve, and operator/vendor experience through standardization, programmatic interventions, exception management, and automations across the First Mile network. We achieve this through our centralized workstreams on vendor/seller/carrier appointment scheduling, rescue interventions, research workflows, and network monitoring, playing a critical role in ensuring Amazon's ability to deliver on its customer promises. Within ROW Inbound's umbrella, operations span multiple regions including India (IN), AMET (South Africa, UAE, KSA, Egypt, and Turkey), Australia (AU), Japan (JP), Singapore (SG), Brazil (BR), and Mexico (MX), managing inbound scheduling, MFI (Missing From Inbound), third-party pickups, vendor returns, and invoice scanning operations. As a Transportation Specialist in ROW Inbound's team, you will be the vital link connecting multiple stakeholders including vendors, sellers, inbound supply chain teams, category managers, and fulfillment centers. Your mission is to resolve issues that impact vendor and seller experience while ensuring business continuity. You will manage appointment scheduling at Fulfillment Centers requested by vendors, sellers, and carriers, ensuring trucks arrive at FCs on schedule for shipment delivery. Throughout the freight placement and unloading lifecycle, you will monitor and address any potential issues that arise. The role requires providing timely resolution by researching and querying internal tools and making real-time decisions to keep operations flowing smoothly. You will need to balance vendor and seller experience with operational efficiency while analyzing data to identify trends and patterns. An ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of logistics and supply chain operations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify trends in data. Clear, professional written and oral communication is essential, as is the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups. The position demands quick decision-making under pressure, a research-oriented approach to issue resolution, and proactive identification of potential problems. Beyond day-to-day operations, you will be expected to ideate and drive process improvements to completion, contributing to automation initiatives that enhance network performance. Transportation Specialists are the operational backbone of Amazon's inbound network, directly impacting vendor and seller experience, customer delivery timelines, network efficiency, and overall business continuity. Communication & Stakeholder Management • Maintain proactive communication with external stakeholders (carriers, vendors, suppliers) and internal teams (business units, planning departments, and fulfillment centers) regarding freight scheduling, arrival delays, unloading delays at fulfillment centers, and other transportation network disruptions • Delivering exceptional real-time vendor and seller experience while operating in a fast-paced environment Data Analysis & Reporting • Extract and analyze data from Amazon tools to generate comprehensive reports and provide actionable visibility to leadership and stakeholders • Develop, track, and interpret performance metrics (such as fulfillment center capacity utilization) to drive measurable business outcomes • Quickly assess business impact from emerging trends and make data-driven decisions based on available information Problem Resolution & Escalation • Systematically identify and escalate problems, data variances, or information discrepancies to relevant owners and teams • Follow through on resolutions to ensure timely and complete delivery of solutions Operational Flexibility • Work flexible schedules, shifts, and work areas as required by business needs, including weekends, nights, and holidays Core Competencies Required • Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights • Excellent communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups • Proactive problem-solving mindset with systematic escalation approach • Adaptability to dynamic operational environments • Customer-centric focus on vendor and seller experience
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics - Experience with Excel - Experience with SQL
