Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or bringing leading edge products to market, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward. Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career.

THE ROLE:

Join AMD's Supply Chain Operations organization and lead the capacity planning strategy behind some of the world's most advanced AI, Data Center, and High Performance Computing (HPC) products.

As a Supply Chain Planning Manager, you will lead strategic capacity planning activities across Wafer Sort, Bump, and Backside Metallization (BSM), ensuring AMD's manufacturing network can support rapid business growth, increasing product complexity, and evolving technology roadmaps.

This highly visible leadership role serves as a critical link between Business Units, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and external manufacturing partners. You will work across organizational boundaries to align stakeholders, develop capacity strategies, identify and mitigate supply risks, and drive execution of business-critical initiatives.

AMD offers a collaborative and fast-paced environment where innovation, continuous learning, and cross-functional partnership are highly valued. This role provides broad exposure across the semiconductor supply chain and a unique opportunity to help scale the next generation of AI and HPC technologies.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader who combines strong analytical skills with the ability to influence others.

This individual excels at communicating complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner, building alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, and driving decisions in situations with competing priorities and incomplete information. They are comfortable engaging with senior leadership, presenting recommendations, and advocating for strategies that support business objectives.

Success in this role requires someone who can anticipate challenges, proactively drive solutions, and lead through collaboration rather than authority alone.

The ideal candidate demonstrates:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence decisions across multiple functions and organizational levels
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Ability to balance short-term execution with long-term planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and business processes
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving environment
  • Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous situations and driving clarity through data and communication

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop long-range capacity plans for Bump, Wafer Sort and BSM to support AMD's growing AI and HPC businesses.
  • Drive alignment between business demand, manufacturing capability, and supplier readiness.
  • Influence strategic decisions related to capacity investments, operational priorities, and supply risk mitigation.

Cross-Functional Influence

  • Partner with Supply Planning, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Manufacturing organizations to align on business priorities.
  • Build compelling business cases and gain organizational support for capacity strategies and investment proposals.
  • Effectively communicate risks, opportunities, assumptions, and recommended actions to executive leadership.

Capacity Planning & Business Operations

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and long-range capacity planning activities.
  • Support key business planning cycles, including S&OP, AOP, and Long-Range Planning (LRP).
  • Evaluate manufacturing constraints and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Drive supplier engagement and capacity readiness planning.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and technology ramp activities.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Drive automation, analytics, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Improve supply chain visibility, forecasting accuracy, and planning effectiveness.
  • Leverage data analytics to support decision-making and operational performance improvements.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in supply chain planning, capacity planning, manufacturing operations, sourcing, procurement, demand planning, business operations, or related functions.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic business plans within a complex operational environment.
  • Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and driving alignment across multiple organizations.
  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making capability.
  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and driving execution through collaboration.
  • Understanding of forecasting, scenario modeling, capacity management, and business planning processes.
  • Experience working with global manufacturing partners and supplier ecosystems.
  • Semiconductor industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting advanced technology, AI, Data Center, HPC, or related technology businesses is a plus.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, AI tools, or advanced analytics platforms is desirable.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Analytics, or a related discipline.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
