ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.

At AMD, we believe technology has the power to solve the world’s most important challenges. From advancing healthcare and scientific discovery to powering AI and the technologies people rely on every day, innovation at AMD is shaping the future.

Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or bringing leading edge products to market, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward. Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career.

THE ROLE:

The Semi-Custom team is seeking a Product Manager to serve as a key connection between customers and AMD’s business, engineering, operations, finance, and legal teams. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative, highly visible projects for leading customers while helping shape new business opportunities from early discussions through execution.

The Product Manager will help develop compelling customer proposals, coordinate responses to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, and bring together senior technical and business stakeholders to move complex opportunities forward. Once a program enters execution, the Product Manager will continue supporting the customer relationship, business deliverables, pricing, contracts, and overall program objectives.

This is a fast-paced, customer-driven environment where priorities may shift as new opportunities emerge. The successful candidate will gain exposure to AMD technologies, develop relationships with senior leaders across the organization, and contribute to confidential, cutting-edge Semi-Custom programs.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate is an organized, customer-focused professional who can communicate clearly with executives, customers, and technical teams. The successful candidate can take complex information and translate it into concise presentations, proposals, and business recommendations.

This person is comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment, managing competing priorities, and creating structure when requirements are not fully defined. The candidate should be able to anticipate upcoming needs, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and drive accountability across a cross-functional organization.

The successful candidate will also be technically curious and interested in learning AMD’s products and technologies. This person does not need to be a design engineer but should be comfortable discussing semiconductor products and working credibly with engineering teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a primary connection between external customers and AMD’s business, engineering, operations, marketing, finance, and legal teams.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional responses to customer RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
  • Bring together senior technical and business stakeholders to develop customer proposals, business cases, executive presentations, and project recommendations.
  • Support product and program definition across cost, power, features, performance, schedule, and other business and customer objectives.
  • Represent the voice of the customer while balancing customer expectations with AMD’s technical, financial, and operational priorities.
  • Develop and support business plans, forecasts, pricing strategies, customer NRE, and product profitability objectives.
  • Monitor program deliverables, business commitments, financial transactions, and customer communications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Partner with engineering teams during program execution to ensure customer requirements, business expectations, and deliverables are clearly communicated.
  • Assist with customer contracts, negotiations, and change orders.
  • Develop clear, concise, and executive-ready presentations and written communications.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and upcoming decisions while creating structure and accountability across cross-functional teams.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, communication, presentations, and other routine activities while ensuring final outputs are accurate, clear, natural, and customer-ready.
  • During the first 30 days, build relationships across the team, participate in customer and internal meetings, and begin supporting proposals and executive presentations.
  • Within the first several months, establish an effective working rhythm with the team, expand knowledge of AMD’s technologies and business processes, and take greater ownership of customer and project activities.
  • Over time, independently lead incoming customer opportunities by identifying stakeholders, organizing working sessions, developing response materials, and driving activities through completion.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in product management, technical program management, business development, or product marketing within semiconductors, high-performance computing, graphics, or a related technology industry.
  • Experience working directly with customers and communicating with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including experience developing clear executive presentations.
  • Experience coordinating RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, customer proposals, or similar cross-functional business responses.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and lead complex initiatives involving business and technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of semiconductor products and technologies, including familiarity with CPUs, GPUs, SoCs, silicon development, testing, manufacturing, or related areas.
  • Experience developing product roadmaps, business cases, forecasts, pricing strategies, or product plans.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with close attention to accuracy.
  • Experience managing product financials or contributing to P&L, revenue, margin, pricing, or cost objectives.
  • Experience supporting customer contracts, negotiations, change orders, or commercial agreements.
  • Ability to influence outcomes across engineering, operations, finance, legal, marketing, and business teams.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Familiarity with procurement, supply chain, continuous supply planning, or product cost-reduction initiatives is beneficial.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, communication, or content development is desired.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, finance, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
