ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.

At AMD, we believe technology has the power to solve the world’s most important challenges. From advancing healthcare and scientific discovery to powering AI and the technologies people rely on every day, innovation at AMD is shaping the future.

Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or bringing leading edge products to market, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward. Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career.

THE ROLE:

Join AMD's University Program team in Dublin and help universities across France and Europe use AMD technologies in teaching and research. You will work directly with faculty, researchers, and students, combining hands-on technical support with training, demonstrations, and collaborative projects.

You will work across AI, GPU Computing, and High-Performance Computing (HPC), helping academic partners adopt AMD hardware and software technologies in teaching and research. The role offers the opportunity to build long-term relationships with leading universities and research institutions, develop technical content and educational resources, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen engagement between AMD and the academic community.

This is a highly collaborative and customer-facing role involving regular travel to universities, research institutions, conferences, workshops, and training events. Travel throughout France and Europe may represent approximately 25% to 50% of the role, with occasional international travel.

THE PERSON:

You are technically curious, comfortable working directly with people, and motivated by helping others solve real-world problems. You can build trust with academic partners, explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences, and take ownership of work from initial discussions through delivery.

Fluency in French and professional fluency in English are important for working with partners across the region. You are adaptable, collaborative, organized, and comfortable working independently while working closely with geographically distributed teams. You enjoy learning new technologies and are excited about enabling innovation through teaching, research, and technical collaboration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build technical relationships with faculty, researchers, and students, with a particular focus on France.
  • Help academic partners adopt AMD technologies for teaching and research in AI, GPU Computing, HPC, and related areas.
  • Develop and deliver technical training, workshops, laboratory exercises, demonstrations, design examples, and other educational resources.
  • Collaborate with academic partners on research, teaching, curriculum development, and student-focused programs.
  • Respond to technical questions and help resolve software, hardware, and development-environment issues.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and development of systems and technical solutions for academic use.
  • Collaborate with AMD engineering, software, research, and marketing teams to support academic initiatives.
  • Represent AMD at universities, conferences, workshops, hackathons, and other academic events.
  • Establish and grow long-term engagement plans with key academic partners across the region.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Professional fluency in French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with AI, GPU programming, High-Performance Computing, parallel computing, or related technologies.
  • Experience with AMD GPU software, programming environments, hardware development tools, or computer architecture concepts.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical training, workshops, tutorials, or educational content.
  • Experience with software development, debugging, testing, and technical problem-solving.
  • Experience working in an academic research or teaching environment, or in applications engineering, developer relations, technical customer support, or related technical roles.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout France and Europe

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. Equivalent relevant industry or research experience will also be considered.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
