This role requires deep technical expertise combined with broader business understanding to drive innovation and ensure successful product delivery across multiple applications and markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Lead architecture development and optimization for complex analog and mixed-signal ICs using industry-standard tools, providing direction and expertise to project teams
  • Design & Development: Design and develop sophisticated analog and mixed-signal ICs including sensor interfaces, data converters, multiplexers, active/passive filters, and power distribution systems
  • Circuit Design & Simulation: Perform advanced block and transistor-level design, simulation, evaluation, and debugging to ensure optimal performance across process, voltage, and temperature variations
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product definers, verification engineers, process engineers, test engineers, and application engineers to ensure designs meet performance objectives and business goals
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, reviewing their work and contributing to their professional development
  • Innovation & Problem Solving: Contribute to the development of new theories, methods, and architectural approaches to solve complex design challenges
  • Project Planning & Management: Significantly contribute to project proposals, staffing decisions, and budgeting forecasts that impact crucial organizational objectives

Must Have Skills

  • Analog Circuits Design: Expert-level ability to design and analyze complex analog circuits including amplifiers, filters, and data converters with the skill to optimize designs for specific applications and lead architectural decisions
  • Mixed-Signal IC Design: Advanced expertise in designing and integrating analog/digital circuits in complex mixed-signal environments with consideration for signal integrity, noise mitigation, and power optimization
  • Circuit Architecture Development: Demonstrated ability to develop innovative circuit architectures that balance performance requirements with practical implementation constraints and business objectives
  • Simulation Modeling & Analysis: Advanced proficiency with simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, and Cadence Design Suite to validate complex designs across various conditions and lead statistical validation efforts
  • Integrated Circuit Layout: Deep understanding of physical IC layout considerations and experience optimizing layouts for performance, including guiding layout engineers on critical aspects
  • CMOS Technology: Comprehensive knowledge of CMOS circuit design principles and implementation techniques for integrated circuits with the ability to make architectural tradeoffs
  • Data Converter Design: Expert-level knowledge of ADC/DAC design principles with demonstrated ability to optimize critical performance parameters and implement innovative architectures

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in analog circuit design
  • Experience with successful IC tape-outs and first-pass silicon

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
