About the Role: The Engineering Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment in a just-in-time manufacturing environment. This role supports program launches, process development, and equipment deployment across Android/Avancez facilities. The Engineering Technician will help evaluate process flow, use simulation data to improve efficiency, and assist with the design and specification of manufacturing equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. What You Need To Be Successful:
Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with dimensions, layouts, and equipment specifications.
Ability to understand and evaluate process flow from inbound materials through finished goods.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including the ability to understand and apply formulas.
Ability to evaluate multiple solutions and recommend the most effective option.
Excellent follow-through, organization, and time-management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Ability to work effectively in a team and assist others when needed.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
Ability to follow safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain an organized work environment.
Ability to support equipment deployment and process development in a manufacturing environment.
Bonus Points If You Have:
An Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
Experience supporting manufacturing or assembly operations.
Experience with production equipment, process development, or equipment deployment.
Experience working in a just-in-time manufacturing environment.
Experience interpreting equipment layouts, dimensions, or technical information.
Experience using simulation or process data to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Education: High School Diploma required. Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or a related discipline preferred. Travel: Minimum travel required.
