The posting

This is a fully remote six-month term position open to candidates based in Canada.

Overview

Anovia is seeking Avaya Aura specialists to support and remediate security vulnerabilities across Avaya Aura voice environments. You will work NOC tickets, inventory in-scope systems, apply interim hardening, and install Avaya Security Service Packs during agreed maintenance windows, working directly with the client’s team throughout.

The ideal candidate is a methodical Avaya Aura specialist who has applied Security Service Packs in production voice environments. You communicate clearly with clients, document your work with before and after evidence, and follow change management discipline on live systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work and resolve NOC tickets for Avaya Aura voice environments.
  • Inventory in-scope Avaya Aura components and software versions, map each to the applicable Avaya Security Service Pack, and track pending items against Avaya security notices.
  • Apply and verify interim hardening, including restricting access to management interfaces.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance windows with client stakeholders, then apply Service Packs and patches.
  • Validate each change with before and after evidence and document the results.
  • Prepare remediation closeout documentation and coordinate with client and delivery teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Avaya Aura platform administration and support across Communication Manager, Application Enablement Services, and Device Services.
  • 3+ years of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and patch management.
  • Hands-on experience installing Avaya Security Service Packs or Super Patches on Aura appliances.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise unified communications or telecommunications.
  • Working knowledge of UC architecture, SIP, and H.323.
  • Strong change management discipline for production voice systems.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with clients.
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Eastern, plus off-hours and weekend maintenance windows, and at short notice when new Service Packs are released.
  • A dedicated workspace and a reliable wired internet connection suitable for remote work.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.

Nice to Have

Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will be given preference:

  • Avaya Aura Session Border Controller for Enterprise (SBCE).
  • Managed services provider (MSP) or multi-tenant patching environments.
  • Security hardening, including CIS benchmarks, management-plane isolation, and least privilege.
  • Scripting in Bash or Python for inventory and version checking.
  • French language skills, written and verbal.
  • Current Avaya Aura credentials (ACSS, ACIS, or ACDS), or Red Hat certification such as RHCSA.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
