ABOUT ANTERIOR

Anterior is on a mission to transform healthcare administration, making it seamless and invisible so clinicians can focus on delivering care. We've built an AI-powered platform designed by clinicians, for clinicians, to simplify administrative workflows and improve patient outcomes. By combining clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology, we're revolutionizing healthcare operations with responsible AI.

We're growing rapidly and are backed by world-class investors including Sequoia, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), and Neo, along with notable angels including the founders of DeepMind, Google AI, and Inflection AI.

We're building exciting tech for huge customers, and we trust in the foundations: keep it simple, build strong foundations, and the rest will follow.

THE ROLE

We're growing quickly, so our operations need to keep pace with our products. As Operations Manager, you'll tackle challenges across the business and see them through from start to finish. This might involve helping teams work better together, setting up new systems, or making sure projects get completed. As the company grows, your responsibilities will change too. We're looking for someone who likes variety and can learn fast.

You'll report to our VP of Operations and work with all our teams, including engineering, clinical, Frontier, GTM, and finance. Since we sell AI, we use it in our own work too. We want you to automate your tasks first, then help others do the same. Our team works together in person in NYC, five days a week. As the company grows, this role can become a key part of our operations team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Own projects across the business. Work with the VP of Operations and team leads to tackle the problems that matter most as we grow. Figure out the problem, recommend a practical approach, and see it through, whether that's improving a process, coordinating a rollout, or sorting out something we've never dealt with before.

- Own IT and business systems. Manage identity and access (Rippling, Okta), provisioning and deprovisioning, devices and inventory, AI tooling and API access, and SaaS spend. Make one-click onboarding and offboarding real.

- Keep us compliant and audit-ready. Run SOC 2 Type 2 and HITRUST evidence collection with engineering and our compliance vendors. Answer customer security questionnaires and keep our policies current (BCP, DR, privacy, code of conduct).

- Build the operating system. Maintain how work is organized and tracked (charge codes, project spaces, contract and BAA/SLA trackers). Run the weekly ops cadence. Write the SOPs that let processes run without you.

- Manage vendors and contracts. Be the admin owner for operational vendors: scope, negotiate, renew, or cancel.

- Partner with our Head of People. Support the operational side of onboarding and offboarding and some recruiting coordination where needed. Our Head of People leads the employee lifecycle and recruiting; your main focus is broader company operations.

- Automate relentlessly. Turn repeated work into Claude skills, scripts and integrations, and measure the time it gives back.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for an ambitious generalist who wants to take on real responsibility and help build the company. In particular:

- Own the outcome. You take initiative, follow through, and keep people informed. When something gets difficult, you work through it and flag problems early.

- Bring intensity and good judgment. You move quickly, work reliably under pressure, and stay constructive when priorities change. People enjoy working with you, even on difficult days.

- Care about the details. You produce work others can rely on and know where getting something right matters most. You also know when it's good enough to move forward.

- Learn quickly and openly. You ask good questions, seek out expertise, take feedback well, and change your mind when the evidence calls for it.

- Make the team better. You're willing to do the unglamorous work and leave behind tools and processes that make things easier for everyone.

Experience and skills

- Around 3–5 years of experience in consulting, business operations, or another demanding generalist role. You might have spent 3–4 years in consulting and then a year at a startup. We'd value that combination, but care more about what you've taken ownership of and delivered than a particular career path.

- You can bring structure to an unclear problem, work through the numbers, and make a clear recommendation. You're equally comfortable doing the hands-on work to put it into practice.

- Experience with business systems or security compliance is useful, but you don't need to have done every part of this role before.

- You already use AI to do your job better and enjoy finding ways to reduce manual work. You're comfortable learning new tools and figuring out how to connect them; scripting or API experience is a plus.

- Sound judgment with sensitive information (compensation, performance, PHI).

- Healthcare or health-tech experience is a plus, not a requirement.

- Based in New York (or willing to relocate) and excited to work in person five days a week.

If you're not sure you meet every point but believe you're the right fit, please apply anyway.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

This is an opportunity to join a company at a major inflection point, using cutting-edge technology to have a meaningful impact in healthcare. You'll work with a world-class team, take on real responsibility early, and shape how Anterior operates as it scales.

We take pride in our strong apprenticeship and coaching culture. We expect our early hires to become leaders both within our company and across the industry.

Benefits:

- Equity package

- Competitive, top-of-market salary

- 100% covered health, dental, and vision insurance

- Complimentary lunches and a stocked kitchen

- Commuter benefits

- Company laptop along with the tools you need to succeed

- Learning & development budget

- Team-building events

- Flexible PTO

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
