School Social Worker (High School)

Location: Southfield, MI

Start Date: 26-27 School Year

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annualized salary (W2, paid weekly) based on experience and qualifications

About the Opportunity:

AnthroMed Education is looking for a dedicated School Social Worker to join our team in Southfield, MI. This is a full-time position for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. As a School Social Worker with AnthroMed, you’ll join a dynamic, collaborative team that values student success, personal growth, and professional development. We offer unmatched clinical support, free LCSW supervision, ongoing training, and a network of peers who are passionate about making a difference.

Caseload and Environment:

  • Targeted Caseload: High School students across one building.
  • Focus: Supporting learners across a variety of needs/programs - including CI and EI programs. There is one other social worker in this building who also supports students receiving special education services.
  • Dedicated Space: You will have a private, dedicated office space in the building to conduct sessions and meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect social work services to students in need of emotional, behavioral, and social support.
  • Push in to classrooms to provide therapy while supporting and collaborating with teachers.
  • Work together with the multidisciplinary team to prioritize student success and safety.
  • Conduct IEP evaluations and contribute to the development of meaningful student goals.
  • Facilitate small group and individual sessions.
  • Lead and support the implementation of BIPs and FBAs.
  • Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings to advocate for student needs.
  • Support students and families in accessing community resources.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Michigan School Social Work Certification (Required)
  • Experience working with adolescents is strongly preferred along with prior school-based experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
