You will translate customer and business requirements into safe, compliant, fit-for-purpose and commercially robust solutions that support investment decisions and transition effectively into project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative, cost-effective integrated power solutions covering generation technology, balance of plant, gas supply, electrical systems, grid connection, controls, constructability, commissioning and operational requirements.
  • Own the quality, completeness and timely delivery of FEED studies, design bases, technical philosophies, specifications, datasheets, calculations, reports, drawings, assumptions, interface registers and decision records.
  • Provide disciplined technical input to business cases, option studies, cost estimates, schedules, commercial models, procurement strategies and investment submissions.
  • Lead technical option evaluations, design risk assessments, safety studies and design reviews, balancing safety, performance, reliability, flexibility, cost, schedule, maintainability and asset life.
  • Support procurement and contracting through market engagement, scopes of work, bid clarification, tender technical evaluation, vendor data review, contract development and negotiation, and pre- and post-award package engineering advice.

Your background

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, enabling eligibility for corporate membership with Engineers Australia or an equivalent professional body.
  • Demonstrated senior engineering experience in the development, design and delivery of gas-fired power generation or similarly complex energy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical judgement and commercial awareness, with the ability to balance safety, risk, performance, reliability, cost, schedule, maintainability and asset life.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities and managing technical interfaces across development, commercial, projects, grid, pipelines, approvals, procurement, operations and asset management.
  • Working knowledge of applicable legislation, Australian and international standards, regulatory obligations, and engineering assurance requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influence and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, network service providers, statutory authorities, regulators, consultants and contractors.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ), or eligibility to obtain registration within 12 months.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
