Job Description

Role

The Market Communications Manager APAC leads customer-facing marketing communications across the Asia-Pacific region, supporting commercial growth across the Thermal, Foundry, and Iron & Steel segments. Based in Paris and part of the Global Communications & Sustainability team, the role works closely with Country Leads/ Directors in the APAC region and regional Sales and Commercial Excellence teams to deliver trade shows, customer events, product launches, and strategic commercial initiatives.

A key focus of the role is driving visibility for the Calderys plant in Odisha (CAPES), in collaboration with local teams, to support a successful plant ramp-up and sustained commercial momentum. The position also contributes to product marketing, regional CSR communications, employee engagement, and the management of key digital platforms, while ensuring brand consistency across the region.

Based in Paris with a hybrid working model (2-3 days a week), this is a fixed-term assignment covering a maternity leave, approximately from November 2026 to August 2027, with a handover period at the start of the assignment. Occasional international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Market communications & commercial support

  • Develop and implement communications plans for trade shows and customer events (physical and digital) across the Thermal, Foundry, and Iron & Steel segments.
  • Coordinate customer-facing campaigns across physical and digital channels — including social media, email, website content, advertising, and newsletters — in line with brand identity and messaging standards.
  • Support key customer milestones and regional events (e.g. plant inaugurations, anniversaries, product launches, customer days).

CAPES visibility program

  • Lead the communications and visibility program for the Calderys plant in Odisha (CAPES) and the new products that are going to be produced there, including trade-press articles and advertisements, press releases, social media, paid promotion, and an internal newsletter.
  • Partner with local sales teams to support the plant ramp-up and reinforce Calderys’ positioning across relevant segments and markets.

Product marketing & strategic initiatives

  • Support the launch and promotion of innovative products and solutions across all three segments (e.g. new product introductions in Iron & Steel, Thermal, and Foundry.) through designing and delivering communications plans and messaging frameworks including, but not limited to, media kits and trade-press advertising.
  • Develop and update product and services brochures and related marketing collaterals.
  • Produce a regional customer newsletter and develop success stories / case studies to support commercial promotion.

Digital platforms

  • Support the creation and maintenance of country pages on the corporate website.
  • Oversee the Caldezone platform by collaborating with the local team and the External communication team to ensure it remain secure, up to date, and fit for purpose for its users.

CSR & sustainability communications

  • Support the Sustainability function on CSR and ESG communication needs in the region, with a particular focus on CSR initiatives in India.
  • Contribute to CSR reporting and review associated communication collaterals (invitations, banners, certificates, and event materials).

Employee engagement & regional coordination

  • Act as the local communications expert and network builder for the APAC region, supporting internal and external communications around employees, facility, and regional achievements.
  • Review and advise on local campaigns and initiatives, ensuring alignment with group strategy while respecting local market nuances.

Requirements

Education

Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, ideally in an international environment.
  • Experience coordinating trade shows, product launches, and multi-channel campaigns.
  • Proven experience in a B2B industrial or technical environment (e.g. manufacturing, materials, engineering, energy) is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working closely with technical, R&D, or product experts to develop content such as technical articles, product brochures, or case studies.

Skills

  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex technical products and processes, and translate them into clear, compelling messages adapted to different audiences.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple topics in parallel.
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing (social media, email, website, marketing automation).
  • Comfortable with design and collaboration tools (e.g. Canva, PlayPlay).
  • Autonomous, proactive, detail-oriented, with a strong sense of quality and brand consistency.
  • Team player, comfortable working across cultures and time zones.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
