Product Manager
Job Description
We're looking for our first dedicated Product Manager. The product is already in the hands of customers — what's missing is the person who turns signals from customers, founders, engineering, and compliance into a defensible set of priorities and clear goals the development team can execute against. This is not a role where requirements are handed to you to write up: you'll make product decisions, own the reasoning behind them, and be accountable for whether they were right. You'll work across a product that spans AI agent behavior, integrations with the systems advisors already use, and compliance-critical workflows — and as the product grows beyond its current B2B surface, you'll bring the data instincts to know whether a new product is actually gaining traction.
- Own prioritization: gather feedback from customers, founders, engineering, and compliance, synthesize it into a coherent picture ("these three requests are actually the same problem"), and turn it into a prioritized roadmap the team commits to — including deciding, and defending, what we're not doing.
- Translate priorities into clear, actionable product definitions — PRDs and acceptance criteria concrete enough that engineers can start building without a round of clarifying meetings, especially for compliance-relevant behavior.
- Define and track the product metrics that tell us whether what we shipped is working — adoption, activation, retention, and task-completion quality — and use them, not just opinions, to drive the next round of prioritization. As we explore future consumer-facing products, you'll own the traction metrics that tell us honestly whether something is working.
- Define what "good" means for AI agent features, where output is inherently less deterministic than typical software — working with engineering on acceptance standards and evaluations that catch real quality problems without chasing every variation.
- Make the product decisions behind our human-in-the-loop approval experience and audit-trail features — balancing user trust, friction, and regulatory expectations in a compliance-sensitive domain.
- Talk to customers (wealth managers and their firms) directly — run discovery conversations, watch how they actually use the product, and turn what you learn into decisions rather than a pile of notes.
- Keep the development team aligned day to day: clear goals per cycle, clear reasoning for changes, and clear written decision records so nobody has to reconstruct "why did we decide this?" from memory.
Job Requirements
- 4–7 years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, including time as the first or only PM on a team — you're used to making calls without a product lead above you, and standing behind them.
- A track record of synthesizing conflicting stakeholder input into a clear, prioritized direction — and of saying no, in writing, with reasons.
- Strong data fluency: you're comfortable defining metrics, reading funnels, and reasoning about activation, retention, and traction — you can tell the difference between a product that's growing and one that's just being demoed. Enough hands-on comfort with analytics tooling (or SQL) to answer your own questions.
- Strong written communication — PRDs, decision records, and priority calls clear enough that an engineer can act on them immediately.
- Enough technical depth to have real conversations with engineers about tradeoffs — API integrations, failure modes, data boundaries — without needing to write the code yourself.
- Experience shipping (or deeply working on) AI/LLM-powered product features, including grappling with how to define quality for non-deterministic output.
- Comfortable with ambiguity: given raw customer feedback and a rough business goal, you can find the signal and set direction yourself.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in regulated, compliance-sensitive domains such as financial services or wealth management.
- Experience taking a consumer (to-C) product from launch to measurable traction.
- Experience at a seed-to-Series-A stage startup, where you helped build the product practice rather than inheriting one.
- Comfortable running customer conversations in English.
