Summary
In Places, we don’t sit back and let things happen; we make things happen, and we do this in service to all Apple employees, business units, and customers. Our team is a diverse and nimble group that manages Apple’s retail stores, workplaces, and workplace services. We develop and manage Apple’s global real estate portfolio, lead all related capital construction projects, provide outstanding facilities and site services, develop and lead sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of all Apple facilities, including commute and renewable energy programs, and do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of all Apple personnel, facilities, and customers in our facilities around the world.
As part of our Places Construction team, you’ll play a significant role in transforming spaces into functional corporate offices and product development centers. We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to own delivery of our key capital projects, including high-design workplaces and technically complex laboratory fit-outs. This role calls for a blend of skills — the ability to execute an elevated design vision with attention to detail, solid technical knowledge, and strong project management discipline.
Description
As a Construction Project Manager supporting the Israel market, you’ll be a key point of contact for project delivery, taking complex projects from initial concept through due diligence, design, construction, commissioning, and handover across sites in Israel, primarily in Herzliya, Haifa, and Jerusalem.
You’ll own ambiguous challenges as they arise, drive cross-functional alignment, and help enforce quality, schedule, and cost controls. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who coordinates effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders — including leadership, internal R&D/engineering partners, architects and the Global Design Team, engineers, corporate procurement, global security, IT & AV teams, vendors, suppliers, and general contractors — to deliver functional, high-quality spaces on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Scope & Strategy: Translate end-user and scientific requirements into actionable design criteria, defining project scope, milestones, and deliverables in partnership with key stakeholders. Use Apple devices, iOS, and internal software within Apple’s environment and network. Planning & Procurement: Develop project execution plans (budgets, schedules, risk mitigation) and lead selection and management of architects, third-party PM and supervision firms, engineers, general contractors, and specialty trade vendors. Design & Technical Integration: Oversee the design development process to preserve architectural intent while coordinating complex MEP and process utility systems critical to lab environments (e.g., HVAC, process piping/gases, clean dry air, tooling hookups, high-voltage capacity, UPS and generators). Site Leadership & Craftsmanship: Serve as the on-site owner’s representative, monitoring work progress, identifying risks, and upholding standards for health, safety, schedule discipline, and finish quality befitting Apple’s high-design environments. Project Controls & Financials: Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, contractor billing, and change orders, proactively flagging and addressing cost and schedule variances. Permitting & Compliance: Lead local authority approvals, environmental health and safety requirements, and municipal permitting processes. Handover & Operational Readiness: Coordinate transitions to facilities and end-users, including commissioning, punch lists, occupancy permits, and documentation handover (as-builts, warranties, O&M). Provide internal project reports in the formats required by the organization. Join calls and meetings across time zones (e.g., US PDT/EDT, EMEA) as needed to engage with teams, stakeholders, and managers abroad.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of progressive project management experience delivering complex, multi-million-dollar capital construction projects Experience managing technically complex tenant improvements Experience delivering high-design corporate workplaces where aesthetic quality and architectural finishes were paramount Experience across full project lifecycles: due diligence, programming, design management, municipal permitting, site fit-out execution, commissioning, and financial closeout Experience with contract negotiations, budget forecasting, and change order review Flexibility to travel to project sites, vendor locations, and regional offices as required Fluency in Hebrew and English — speaking, reading, writing, and working in both languages Ability to work in Herzliya five days a week, with ability to travel within the country (e.g., Jerusalem, Haifa) as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent practical experience Ability to navigate ambiguous, fast-paced environments and help resolve complex project trade-offs Experience managing third-party PM and supervision firms as a client representative Proactive mindset — identifies potential constructibility or schedule risks before they affect field operations and develops mitigation plans Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical construction issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders
