Summary

Imagine what you could do here! Do you care about what makes products not only delightful, but safe, sustainable, and trustworthy? Apple’s Product Analysis & Compliance Engineering (PACE) group ensures our products don't just meet global Safety, Environmental, EMC, and Wireless regulations—they exceed them to set the standard for product integrity.

We are seeking a Regulatory Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to lead complex engineering initiatives in a fast-paced product development environment. In this highly visible role with company-wide impact, you will regularly lead reviews with cross-functional VPs on upcoming global standards and regulations affecting Apple’s business. You will drive alignment across PACE engineering teams and key partners—including Legal, Government Affairs, Operations, and Global Supply—to keep our regulatory strategies ahead of the curve.

If you are a proactive leader who thrives on tough challenges, we’d love to hear from you. We are looking for candidates with proven experience in hardware project management and end-to-end product delivery. In this role, you will spearhead information digitization efforts and drive leadership for regulatory markings across finished products and core modules.

Description

This Engineering Program Manager (EPM) will build strong relationships across the organization to help ensure Apple’s products meet the highest international and Apple-specific regulatory requirements. This EPM will drive regulatory readiness by partnering with engineers, technical experts, and the PACE Product Safety, Environmental, EMC, and Wireless teams. They will anticipate upcoming standards and regulations and translate them into clear, actionable requirements for product teams.

As a leader, this EPM will bring out the best in others, cut through ambiguity, and leverage (or develop) workflow processes and systems. They will work closely with cross-functional partners, including Legal, GA, Ops, and Global Supply, to meet PACE’s charter for the good of all Apple products. Setting objectives, driving schedules, ensuring follow-through, and communicating in executive forums, including reviews with cross-functional VPs, will be at the heart of this role.

Responsibilities

Track emerging global Product Safety, Environmental, EMC, and Wireless standards, assessing their impact on Apple’s business and product roadmaps. Lead strategy and execution for regulatory markings (including physical markings and e-labeling) across finished products and core modules in partnership with hardware engineering, design, and operations teams. Develop, refine, and manage project schedules and systems for our internal regulatory trackers—modernizing collaborative tools and digitizing workflows to ensure rigorous process execution. Communicate complex regulatory landscapes and deliver actionable briefings to senior engineering leadership and cross-functional VPs to enable rapid, data-driven decision-making throughout the product development lifecycle. Oversee issue resolution and priority management across EPMs, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless product compliance and integrity. Partner internally (Legal, Government Affairs) and externally to influence regulatory advocacy, engagements, and compliance strategies aligned with Apple’s core principles. As part of a larger group of strategically-focused EPMs, continually innovate EPM processes, establishing best practices that scale across hardware development cycles.

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering or Technical degree. Equivalent experience to be considered on case-by-case bases. 5-7 years of engineering program/project management (EPM) experience, including a proven track record in hardware EPM roles launching products and driving end-to-end new product introduction (NPI) cycles. Experience in the regulatory domain with the ability to interpret global regulations and standards, assess product and schedule impact, and synthesize requirements into actionable product delivery roadmaps. Demonstrated proficiency in schedule development, project management tools, and leading data/information digitization or systems improvement initiatives. Strong technical intuition and grasp of core engineering concepts, with the ability to distill complex design and compliance challenges into clear action plans. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time to support project demands.

Preferred Qualifications

M.S. or PhD in Engineering or Technical degree with 7+ years of experience in a related field or industry. Demonstrated ability in applying and using AI/ML tools for project management and leadership. Experience in international and/or regional Product Safety, Environmental, EMC, and Wireless standards/regulations, and/or government affairs are a big plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
