The posting

The Revenue Management Data Analyst leverages data, analytics, and automation to optimize Arajets revenue performance across routes, fare families, and ancillary products. The role partners with RM, Pricing, Network Planning, Digital, and Finance to transform raw data into forecasts, pricing actions, and inventory strategies that drive unit revenue and load factor while preserving the carriers low‑cost value proposition. (Arajet operates as a low‑cost carrier serving the Americas from hubs in Santo Domingo and Punta Cana.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecasting & Demand Modeling: Build, maintain, and calibrate route‑level demand forecasts (short/medium term) using historical bookings, seasonality, competitive schedules, events, and fare‑class behavior; recommend inventory controls and overbooking levels to maximize RASM.
  • Pricing Analytics: Monitor fares, availability, and competitive actions; run price tests (A/B where applicable); provide data‑driven pricing recommendations that balance yield and load factor.
  • Ancillary Revenue Insights: Track attach rates and conversion along the digital funnel (website/app/check‑in); quantify revenue impact of bundles, seats, baggage, upgrades; propose actions to lift ARPP and conversion.
  • Performance Dashboards: Design and automate BI dashboards (Power BI/Tableau/Looker) with KPIs such as RASM, PRASM, LF, Spoilage, Denied Boardings, Forecast Accuracy (MAPE), and Ancillary per Pax; deliver weekly/monthly performance readouts to Commercial leadership.
  • Experimentation & Optimization: Conduct structured experiments on price fences, fare rules, and booking‑flow placements; quantify elasticity and willingness‑to‑pay; document learnings into playbooks.
  • Data Engineering Liaison: Partner with Data/IT to improve data pipelines (PNRs, O&D, OAG schedules, competitor fares, web analytics), data quality, and latency; define business logic for segmentation and attribution models.
  • Scenario & Sensitivity Analysis: Support network and schedule changes with revenue scenarios; model impacts from new routes, frequency changes, and competitive entries/exits in Arajets regional network. (Arajet continues growing its pan‑regional network from the Dominican Republic.
  • Reporting to Regulators/Finance: Provide accurate revenue projections and post‑implementation reviews for budget cycles and board updates; ensure traceability of assumptions and methods.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Toolkit: Advanced Excel; SQL for querying large datasets; proficiency in one analytics language (Python or R) for modeling and automation; familiarity with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau/Looker). (Comparable skills sought in airline analyst roles.)
  • Quantitative Strength: Knowledge of time‑series forecasting, regression, price elasticity, and optimization; ability to validate models (back‑testing, error metrics).
  • Commercial Acumen: Understanding of airline RM concepts (fare classes, O&D control, nesting, spoilage, displacement), LCC pricing, and ancillary economics.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex findings into clear recommendations for non‑technical stakeholders; strong presentation skills.
  • Collaboration: Comfort working cross‑functionally with RM, Pricing, Digital/E‑commerce, Network Planning, and Finance in a fast‑paced environment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1–4 years of experience in revenue management, pricing, data science/analytics, or commercial finance—preferably in aviation or travel.
  • Experience with airline datasets (PNR, O&D, MIDT/GDS, web analytics) and external sources (OAG/Diio/Sabre data) is a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
