Company Description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a full of potential and reliable Procurement Engineer (Tendering Support) to join our top qualified and knowledgeable team in Athens. The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for engineering projects. He / She will be in close cooperation with the Procurement Manager.

What you will need to do:

  • For assigned packages, source and propose the Bidders from registered Client and Company approved vendor list and based on approved Procurement strategy
  • Ensure that all Supplier Pre-Assessment is done in compliance with the procedure to improve the performance of company/project in Supplier selection.
  • Coordinate with all relevant in-house departments to ensure all requirements are included in the bidding documents and prepare/issue the Invitation to Bid (ITB) to the suppliers of the Bidders lists.
  • Coordinate closely with Tendering department to provide regular updates for the progress of the packages assigned (ITB, Quotation receipt, etc.)
  • Expedite firmly with and manage properly the market to achieve a minimum number of competitive offers receipt.
  • Maintain the Tender Procurement Plan up to date.
  • Have a close interface with the technical responsible and lead all technical / commercial / contractual clarifications with the suppliers.
  • Liaise with Project teams to define optimum vendors list and actual market prices.
  • Perform commercial analysis, schedule evaluation of bids and incorporate technical evaluation from Engineering/Tendering.
  • Finalize the Comparison Statement (CS) of the quotations and make recommendations only for technically acceptable solutions.
  • Perform prices benchmarking available in Company’s historic database.

What you will need to have:

  • MSc Engineering University degree in one of the relevant fields (Electrical)
  • Motivation to learn and grow in Archirodon in the Procurement Dept
  • Persistence in fulfilling the work in its deep detail
  • 5 - 7 years working experience and one experience as Procurement Engineer/Site Engineer/Tender Engineer.
  • Adequate knowledge of commercial aspects.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision and very short deadlines
  • Commitment to deadlines and task requirements
  • Fluency in the English language (oral and written).

  • Has good communication, co-operation and analytical skills.
  • Displays passion, energy, drive, agility and resilience in achieving work-related goals under difficult circumstances.
  • Has the capability to perform under stressful situations.
  • Enjoys challenge, working with different cultures and travelling.
