Deine Mission

Als Platform Engineer (m/w/d) bist du ein zentraler Bestandteil unseres Teams und gestaltest aktiv die technologische Grundlage, die es unseren Entwicklungsteams ermöglicht, Produkte schnell, zuverlässig und skalierbar bereitzustellen. Du bewegst dich souverän zwischen operativem Tagesgeschäft und der kontinuierlichen Weiterentwicklung unserer Plattform. An der Schnittstelle von Infrastruktur, Entwicklung und Automatisierung bist du Problemlöser und treibende Kraft zugleich. Du betreust und optimierst unsere OpenShift-basierte Plattform, bearbeitest Anfragen von internen Engineers und Kunden und treibst die Automatisierung unserer Prozesse und Pipelines voran. Unsere Umgebung ist hybrid – wir arbeiten sowohl in der Private Cloud als auch auf AWS und nutzen Kubernetes als verbindende Technologie, die uns maximale Flexibilität ermöglicht. Du arbeitest eng mit unserem externen Partner zusammen, der die zugrunde liegende Cluster-Infrastruktur betreibt, während du und dein Team die Plattform für unsere Entwickler zugänglich macht und kontinuierlich verbessert. Mittelfristig wollen wir den Anteil proaktiver Plattformentwicklung erhöhen – und du hast die Möglichkeit, diesen Weg aktiv mitzugestalten. Deine Aufgaben:

Platform Operations & Administration

  • Verwaltung und Administration von OpenShift-Ressourcen (z. B. Namespaces, Berechtigungen, Konfigurationen und SFTP)
  • Bearbeitung von Change Requests und Support-Tickets von internen Engineers und Kunden
  • Betrieb und Monitoring unserer hybriden Infrastruktur (Private Cloud & AWS EKS Cluster)
  • Sicherstellung von Stabilität, Performance und Verfügbarkeit der Plattform mit Tools wie Grafana und Elasticsearch

Automation & Pipelines

  • Aufbau, Integration und Betrieb von CI/CD-Pipelines zur Automatisierung von Deployments
  • Entwicklung von Automatisierungslösungen auf der Plattform mittels Python-Skripting
  • Identifikation von Optimierungspotenzialen im Betrieb und Umsetzung skalierbarer Lösungen

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Entwicklungsteams zur Unterstützung effizienter DevOps-Workflows und reibungsloser Deployments
  • Koordination mit unserem externen Infrastruktur-Partner über ein Ticketsystem
  • Unterstützung bei der Evaluierung und Einführung neuer Plattform-Technologien und Tools
  • Mitarbeit an Projekten zur Weiterentwicklung und Erweiterung unserer Plattformlandschaft

Analysis & Problem Solving

  • Analyse und Behebung von Infrastrukturproblemen sowie kontinuierliche Optimierung der Systemstabilität
  • Anwendung fundierter Kenntnisse in Netzwerkkonzepten (Routing, Switching, Firewall) zur effektiven Zusammenarbeit mit externen Partnern
  • Dokumentation von Prozessen, Konfigurationen und Lösungsansätzen

Dein Profil

Qualifikationen

  • Studium der Informatik, eines verwandten Fachgebiets oder eine vergleichbare Ausbildung mit relevanter Berufserfahrung
  • Mehrjährige praktische Erfahrung mit Container-Plattformen, insbesondere Kubernetes
  • Praktische Erfahrung mit OpenShift (wünschenswert, aber kein Muss)
  • Fundierte Kenntnisse in Linux
  • Erfahrung im Aufbau und Betrieb von CI/CD-Pipelines (z. B. GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins oder vergleichbar)
  • Erfahrung im Python-Scripting zur Automatisierung von Aufgaben
  • Erfahrung mit Monitoring-Tools wie Grafana und Elasticsearch
  • Gutes Verständnis von Cloud-Infrastrukturen (AWS, Private Cloud, hybride Setups)
  • Grundlegendes Verständnis von Netzwerk-, Virtualisierungs- und Storage-Konzepten

Nice-to-have

  • Kenntnisse in Infrastructure-Automation-Tools (z. B. Ansible, Terraform oder vergleichbar)
  • Erfahrung in der Zusammenarbeit mit externen Managed Service Providern
  • Relevante Zertifizierungen, z. B. Red Hat OpenShift (EX280) oder CKA/CKAD

Sprachkenntnisse

  • Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift (Arbeitssprache)
  • Deutschkenntnisse von Vorteil
