Are you an organized, proactive professional who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and keeping projects moving? Join Associa as a Community Association Manager in Milford, CT, and make a meaningful impact on the communities you serve.

In this role, you’ll partner with association boards, homeowners, vendors, and colleagues to guide daily operations, support community goals, and turn decisions into action. From preparing for board meetings to coordinating property improvements, your work will help communities stay connected, well maintained, and running smoothly.

Community association experience is preferred, but not required. We welcome candidates with transferable strengths in customer service, relationship management, organization, and operational coordination.

What You’ll Do

  • Build strong relationships: Serve as a key point of contact for association boards and homeowners, providing responsive service and helping resolve concerns professionally.
  • Keep community operations on track: Manage association business in accordance with management agreements, board direction, and community policies.
  • Support effective board meetings: Prepare agendas, management reports, and meeting materials; attend meetings and follow through on action items.
  • Stay connected to your communities: Travel to client associations for inspections, property walk-throughs, board meetings, and community events as needed.
  • Coordinate maintenance and improvements: Work with vendors to obtain proposals, oversee services and projects, evaluate performance, and recommend capital improvements.
  • Support financial oversight: Review monthly financial reports, prepare board summaries, support annual budget planning, and oversee accounts payable and collection processes.
  • Manage essential communications and records: Coordinate annual meeting notices, disclosure and financial statement packages, and homeowner mailings within required deadlines. Maintain accurate homeowner, association, and contract records.
  • Bring plans to life: Use community calendars, action lists, procurement tools, and other Associa resources to organize priorities and meet commitments.
  • Collaborate across teams: Coordinate architectural review applications, keep boards informed of association legal matters, and oversee assigned staff where provided by the management agreement.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and a thoughtful approach to resolving conflict.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn community management systems.
  • Willingness to travel to client communities and attend meetings and events as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Community association, property management, or related experience.
  • Familiarity with homeowners associations and the respective responsibilities of boards and community managers.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Required qualifications:

  • Must be CMCA certified.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
