Database Architecture & Engineering • Design and implement scalable MongoDB database architectures for enterprise applications. • Establish data models, schema design standards, indexing strategies, and data governance practices. • Evaluate application access patterns and recommend optimal NoSQL data structures. • Design and implement sharding, replication, and clustering solutions. MongoDB Administration • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MongoDB databases. • Manage MongoDB Atlas, Enterprise, or Community Edition deployments. • Perform backup, restore, recovery, and database refresh activities. • Implement database security controls including authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing. Performance Optimization • Analyze database performance issues and implement tuning recommendations. • Optimize queries, aggregation pipelines, indexes, and data access patterns. • Monitor database health, capacity, and resource utilization. • Drive continuous improvements in database performance and availability. High Availability & Disaster Recovery • Design and support MongoDB Replica Sets. • Implement DR strategies and ensure RPO/RTO objectives are met. • Conduct failover testing and resiliency validation. • Support business continuity initiatives. Cloud & Automation • Deploy and manage MongoDB databases across Azure, AWS, and GCP. • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and database automation solutions. • Automate provisioning, monitoring, patching, and operational tasks. • Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. Support & Operations • Provide L3 support for critical production environments. • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management activities. • Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and architecture standards. • Collaborate with application, cloud, and DevOps teams. ________________________________________ Required Skills MongoDB Expertise • Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB Administration. • Deep understanding of: o Replica Sets o Sharding o MongoDB Atlas o Aggregation Framework o Indexing Strategies o GridFS o Backup & Recovery o Security & Auditing NoSQL Technologies Experience with one or more: • MongoDB • Cassandra • Couchbase • DynamoDB • Cosmos DB • Redis Database Engineering • Data modeling and schema design. • Database performance tuning. • Capacity planning. • Query optimization. • Data migration and modernization. Cloud Platforms Hands-on experience with: • Microsoft Azure • AWS • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) DevOps & Automation • Terraform • Ansible • Python/Shell Scripting • Git • CI/CD pipelines • Docker • Kubernetes Monitoring Tools Experience with: • MongoDB Ops Manager • CloudWatch • Azure Monitor • Datadog • Splunk • Grafana • Prometheus ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications • MongoDB Certified Developer or DBA. • Experience with MongoDB Atlas Migration. • Experience in Database Modernization programs. • Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle. • Experience supporting GenAI, Vector Databases, or AI-driven applications. • Exposure to Kafka and event-driven architectures.
