Programme: Strategic Management

Learner Profile: Adult learners (aged 19 and above)

Overview

The Strategic Management module equips students with the knowledge and practical skills to analyze business environments, formulate organizational strategies, evaluate strategic alternatives, and implement strategic decisions that create sustainable competitive advantage. The module emphasizes strategic thinking, leadership, innovation, and business performance in a rapidly changing global environment.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching

• Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, workshops, and case study discussions.

• Facilitate critical thinking and strategic decision-making exercises.

• Relate strategic management concepts to real-world business scenarios.

• Encourage active participation and collaborative learning.

• Support students in applying strategic frameworks and models.

Curriculum Delivery

• Deliver the approved curriculum in accordance with programme learning outcomes.

• Ensure module content remains relevant to current industry practices and business trends.

• Integrate local, regional, and international business examples.

• Align teaching activities with assessment requirements and academic standards.

Student Engagement

• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Provide academic guidance and consultation to students.

• Monitor student progress and attendance.

• Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.

• Support students' professional and entrepreneurial development.

Assessment

• Design, administer, and grade assessments according to university guidelines.

• Provide timely, constructive, and developmental feedback.

• Conduct moderation and assessment reviews as required.

• Maintain assessment records and documentation.

• Ensure academic integrity and adherence to assessment policies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in entrepreneurship, business consulting, or senior management roles.

• Experience with international or transnational higher education programmes.
