Third Party Implementation Manager

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Flexible, hybrid working environment
  • Lead the implementation of third-party technology solutions across the Fund

At AustralianSuper, we truly care about our colleagues. We know work and life are intertwined. That’s why we support the diverse needs of everyone and have policies that enable us all to thrive and be truly flexible. We ensure diversity is celebrated for the opportunity it provides us all to learn and grow and deliver better outcomes for members. We are dedicated to building a high-performance environment underpinned by a strong risk culture, ensuring we deliver the best outcomes for our members.

Your New Role

As Third-Party Implementation Manager, you will facilitate the implementation of technologies owned, provided or operated by third-party suppliers within the AustralianSuper environment.

Working across Member Platforms, Technology, Digital & Data, business operations and external suppliers, you will bring together technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure implementation activities are coordinated, controlled and operationally sustainable.

You will review and enhance supplier implementation plans, identify AustralianSuper-specific requirements and manage the dependencies, risks and readiness activities required to support an effective transition into business-as-usual operations.

In this role, you’ll

  • Facilitate the technical implementation of third-party technologies into the AustralianSuper environment.
  • Partner with suppliers, internal technology teams and business stakeholders to define AustralianSuper-specific scope, dependencies, controls and operational impacts.
  • Coordinate implementation planning across systems, integrations, environments, access requirements, data flows, testing and release activities.
  • Manage implementation risks, issues, dependencies and decisions, escalating them clearly and promptly when required.
  • Assess business and operational impacts, including service continuity, risks, member impacts, support arrangements and transition requirements.
  • Coordinate readiness assessments, implementation checkpoints, go or no-go inputs and post-implementation reviews.
  • Ensure documentation, knowledge transfer, monitoring, testing evidence and operational acceptance arrangements are in place before transition to business-as-usual operations.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven experience delivering or coordinating technology implementations in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with third-party suppliers, vendor-managed technologies or externally provided platforms.
  • Strong project delivery capability encompassing planning, implementation tracking, dependency management and stakeholder reporting.
  • Change management experience covering business impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, release readiness and operational transition.
  • Sound knowledge of technology operations, service management and transition-to-operations practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and operational matters to a business audience.
  • The ability to influence without direct authority and coordinate across vendors, technical teams, operations, risk, security and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify, mitigate and manage risks, especially as they relate to business process and business operations.
  • Exposure and use of AI tooling beneficial
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in technology, business, information systems, project management or a related discipline is desirable. Project delivery or change management certification, such as PRINCE2, PMP or an equivalent qualification, is also desirable.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
