  • Take ownership of drawing and modelling packages throughout all project stages.
  • Work closely with Structural Engineers and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver coordinated and buildable solutions.
  • Ensure all drawing outputs meet project requirements, relevant standards and company quality procedures.
  • Review and check your own work, as well as supporting quality reviews of junior team members' outputs.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, suppliers and external consultants.
  • Review supplier and subcontractor drawings to ensure compliance with design intent.
  • Support BIM delivery and contribute to the development of digital engineering best practice.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians and trainees.
  • Participate in technical meetings and represent the structural team when required.

What we're looking for

  • HNC qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience as a Structural Technician within an engineering consultancy environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Strong experience in reinforced concrete detailing and structural drafting.
  • Experience producing detailed structural drawings and models across multiple project phases.
  • Good understanding of structural detailing principles for reinforced concrete, steel and timber structures.
  • Knowledge of current UK standards, regulations and industry best practice.
  • Experience working within BIM-led projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work to programme deadlines.

Desirable

  • EngTech or working towards professional accreditation.
  • Experience working on projects within aviation, defence, industrial, infrastructure or life sciences sectors.
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior technicians.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
