The posting
The Investment Advisor is member of the Client Coverage & Advisory team in Singapore, and shall endeavour to fulfil the ambitions defined and outlined for the team by Head of Client Coverage & Advisory (Singapore) – NRI & PBI.
In this capacity, the individual shall ensure clients receive systematic and tailor-made investment recommendations based on their individual investment objectives, strategies, suitability, risk profiles, prevailing market conditions, which are centred around portfolio performance. This will also ensure that regular portfolio monitoring and reviews are conducted in line with the Bank’s framework and practices.
Further, the individual shall also have regular dialogues with the Front representatives to be kept abreast of client needs/demands to help ensure that the products and services offered to clients remain relevant and competitive.
The Investment Advisor reports to Head of Client Coverage & Advisory (Singapore) – NRI & PBI.

• Build highly impactful relationships with global and regional stakeholders across functions in the Bank
Client management (internal & external)
• Ensure clients receive systematic and tailor-made investment recommendations based on their individual investment objectives, strategies, risk profiles, prevailing market conditions, which are centred around portfolio performance
• Regularly consult with Front representatives to be kept updated of clients’ needs/demands and take appropriate measures to fulfil them, where relevant
• Support Relationship Managers in client meetings, where relevant
• Develop and assess innovative investment ideas aligned to clients’ investment objectives, needs, and risk profile
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews and analysis
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure smooth execution of business operations
Business management
• Support the team’s strategic objectives and operational goals, driving business outcomes and results
• Identify opportunities to enhance functional efficiency and productivity, proposing process improvements and workflow optimisations, where relevant/appropriate
Regulatory responsibilities &/or risk management
• Meet all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards/requirements
• Adhere to the standards and expectations outlined in the relevant user manuals and guidelines
• Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Professional & technical
• University degree holder or above and professional background with 8+ years of experience in private banking, wealth management
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex investment concepts effectively to clients, relationship managers, and investment professionals
• Excellent presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
• Strong commercial judgement, business acumen and a broad understanding of the financial markets and products
Regulatory
• MAS licensed representative
• Familiarity with regulatory expectations and requirements
• Understanding of cross border rules and regulations
