Over de functie

In deze functie maak je als werkstudent deel uit van de sectie Arbeidsrecht. De sectie bestaat uit tien advocaten die nauw samenwerken en een passie voor arbeidsrecht delen. Onze arbeidsrechtadvocaten begeleiden werkgevers bij reorganisaties, medezeggenschapstrajecten, cao-onderhandelingen, gelijke behandelingszaken, overnames en individuele arbeidsgeschillen. Ook procederen zij veel in omvangrijke en veelal spraakmakende hoger beroepszaken en in cassatie. Onze sectie Arbeidsrecht opereert in de top van de markt, wat wordt bevestigd door de rankings in The Legal 500 en Chambers Europe. Dat gaat bij ons hand in hand met een informele werksfeer waar veel wordt gelachen.

Als werkstudent draai je over de volle breedte mee in de arbeidsrechtpraktijk. Je onderzoekt juridisch interessante vraagstukken, neemt deel aan (sectie)besprekingen en woont zittingen bij. Daarnaast ben je van harte welkom bij onze sociale kantooractiviteiten. Kortom, je krijg de mogelijkheid om waardevolle praktijkervaring op te doen, je juridische kennis verder te ontwikkelen en tegelijkertijd onze arbeidsrechtssectie te leren kennen.

In deze rol word je actief begeleid door onze ervaren arbeidsrechtadvocaten. Je wordt aangemoedigd jezelf te ontwikkelen binnen het arbeidsrecht en uitgedaagd om het beste uit jezelf te halen!

Over ons

BarentsKrans is een onafhankelijk, Nederlands advocaten- en notarissenkantoor. Met ruim 170 kantoorgenoten werken wij aan mooie juridische uitdagingen, zowel nationaal als internationaal. Wij hebben een vestiging in het centrum van Den Haag en op de Zuidas in Amsterdam. Jouw profiel

  • je bevindt je in de laatste fase van je bachelor of in je master Nederlands recht;
  • je hebt interesse in het arbeidsrecht;
  • enige praktijkervaring in de juridische dienstverlening door middel van een studentstage of werkstudentschap is een pre;
  • nevenactiviteiten, vrijwilligerswerk, (bij)banen, hobby’s of andere bezigheden waaruit je ambities en persoonlijke ontwikkeling blijken zijn een pre;
  • je kunt je zowel mondeling als schriftelijk uitstekend uitdrukken in het Nederlands en Engels; en
  • je bent bij voorkeur vanaf februari 2027 voor twee of drie dagen per week beschikbaar (een latere startdatum is bespreekbaar).

Ons aanbod

  • een mooie kans om praktijkervaring op te doen bij de sectie Arbeidsrecht van een groot en professioneel kantoor met een goede reputatie en hoge rankings (o.a. The Legal 500 en Chambers);
  • goede begeleiding door de advocaten met wie je samenwerkt;
  • een informele werkomgeving met veel leuke kantooractiviteiten, zoals teamuitjes, borrels en kantoorfeesten;
  • een arbeidsovereenkomst voor twee dagen per week voor (in principe) de duur van drie maanden;
  • een salaris van € 2.850,- bruto per maand op fulltime basis (37,5 uur per week) inclusief 8% vakantiegeld en exclusief een lunchkostenvergoeding; en
  • een volledige ov-reiskostenvergoeding (als je geen recht (meer) hebt op een studenten ov-abonnement).
