You will work on implementing control algorithms, data file structures, and machine interfaces using PLC ladder logic, structured text and function block diagrams. This role plays a key part in both new product development and sustaining engineering efforts, with significant customer-facing interaction and international travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot control algorithms and machine-based software systems.
  • Develop and maintain programs that support machine operation, data collection, diagnostics, and communication with peripheral equipment.
  • Collaborate with sales, service, and engineering teams to define technical and functional specifications.
  • Support machine checkout, installation, and commissioning by providing control system software documentation and assistance.
  • Interface directly with customers to resolve software-related issues and ensure systems meet expectations.
  • Produce and update operation manuals, diagnostic guides, and technical documentation.
  • Stay current with evolving control system architectures and technology trends.
  • Mentor and support less experienced engineers as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial controls development; manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, B&R).
  • Experience with assembly-level languages, Visual C++, and other high-level programming languages is a plus.
  • HMI application programming knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of control theory and its application.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.

Compensation

The approximate pay range for this position is $95,000 – $105,000. This range is a good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, background, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
