Onze opdrachtgever is een gespecialiseerde IT-dienstverlener die zich richt op Cloud, Platform Engineering en DevOps. De organisatie helpt bedrijven met het ontwerpen, bouwen en optimaliseren van moderne IT-infrastructuren en schaalbare cloudplatformen.

Je komt terecht in een team van ervaren engineers waar technische expertise, kennisdeling en persoonlijke ontwikkeling centraal staan. De organisatie kenmerkt zich door korte communicatielijnen, een informele werksfeer en veel ruimte voor eigen initiatief.

Als engineer krijg je de mogelijkheid om te werken aan uitdagende projecten binnen complexe enterprise-omgevingen. Hierbij wordt rekening gehouden met jouw technische interesses, ambities en persoonlijke ontwikkeling.

Over de functie

Als Platform Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen, bouwen en automatiseren van schaalbare en betrouwbare cloudplatformen. Je werkt aan complexe IT-omgevingen waarin automatisering, stabiliteit en security een belangrijke rol spelen.

Je ontwikkelt platformoplossingen waarmee developmentteams zelfstandig, efficiënt en veilig applicaties kunnen ontwikkelen en uitrollen. Daarbij maak je gebruik van moderne technologieën op het gebied van container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) en CI/CD.

Je werkt aan uiteenlopende projecten binnen enterprise-omgevingen en krijgt de vrijheid om technische keuzes te maken en verbeteringen door te voeren.

Technisch werk je onder andere met:

  • Cloud: Microsoft Azure, AWS en/of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Containers: Kubernetes en OpenShift
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, OpenTofu, Bicep en ARM Templates
  • CI/CD & GitOps: ArgoCD, FluxCD, GitLab CI en Azure DevOps
  • Programming & Scripting: Python en/of Go
  • Infrastructuur: Hybride cloudomgevingen en on-premise infrastructuren

Vereisten

  • Ruime ervaring als Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer of DevOps Engineer.
  • Aantoonbare ervaring met minimaal één van de grote cloudplatformen: Azure, AWS of GCP.
  • Ervaring met Infrastructure as Code, bijvoorbeeld Terraform, OpenTofu of Bicep.
  • Praktische ervaring met containertechnologieën en container orchestration via Kubernetes en/of OpenShift.
  • Ervaring met het ontwerpen, implementeren en onderhouden van CI/CD-pipelines.
  • Kennis van GitOps-principes en tooling zoals ArgoCD, FluxCD, GitLab CI of Azure DevOps.
  • Ervaring met programmeren of scripting in Python en/of Go.
  • In staat om zelfstandig te werken binnen complexe IT-omgevingen.
  • Een proactieve houding en een sterke focus op automatisering, betrouwbaarheid en technische kwaliteit.
  • Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en het vermogen om samen te werken met verschillende technische teams.

Verantwoordelijkheden

  • Ontwerpen, bouwen en onderhouden van schaalbare en betrouwbare cloudplatformen.
  • Automatiseren van infrastructuur en deployments met Infrastructure as Code.
  • Implementeren en optimaliseren van Kubernetes- en OpenShift-omgevingen.
  • Ontwikkelen en verbeteren van CI/CD-pipelines en GitOps-workflows.
  • Beheren en optimaliseren van hybride cloud- en on-premise infrastructuren.
  • Waarborgen van de beschikbaarheid, performance, security en schaalbaarheid van platformen.
  • Ondersteunen van developmentteams bij het efficiënt en zelfstandig uitrollen van applicaties.
  • Signaleren en implementeren van technische verbeteringen en nieuwe technologieën.
  • Delen van technische kennis en samenwerken met andere engineers aan toekomstbestendige oplossingen.
