System Engineer Linux en PostgreSQL

Als Linux en PostgreSQL System Engineer ben jij verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen, beheren en optimaliseren van onze database‑omgevingen (PostgreSQL en Oracle) én onze Linux‑infrastructuur.

Je werkt aan een stabiel, veilig en performant platform waarop onze bedrijfsapplicaties draaien. Schakelt makkelijk tussen troubleshooting, performance tuning, scripting en projecten op het gebied van automatisering en modernisering.

Je werkt zelfstandig, maar ook nauw samen met collega's uit development en systeembeheer, en denkt ook actief mee over verbeteringen en toekomstbestendige oplossingen.

Jouw taken:

  • Installeren, beveiligen en onderhouden van on-premise Linux servers (bijv. Red Hat, Rocky).
  • Beheren, monitoren en optimaliseren van PostgreSQL en Oracle databases
  • Uitvoeren van performance tuning, query‑optimalisatie en capaciteitsplanning.
  • Opzetten, onderhouden en testen van backup- en recoverystrategieën.
  • Automatiseren van beheertaken met Bash, Python of Ansible.
  • Ondersteunen bij migraties, upgrades en database‑modernisatieprojecten.
  • Proactief signaleren van verbeteringen op gebied van stabiliteit, beveiliging en performance.

De afdeling / organisatie De afdeling ICT is verantwoordelijk voor ons internationale ICT‑beleid, het ontwikkelen van oplossingen en het beheer ervan. Deze opdrachtgever heeft ca. 1500 medewerkers, 300 werkplekken en een complexe en uitdagende ICT‑omgeving met meer dan 180 servers (waarvan circa 150 virtueel) en ruim 100 verschillende applicaties. De ICT‑afdeling bestaat uit ruim 20 enthousiaste en vakkundige collega's binnen Servicedesk, Applicatiebeheer, Systeem- en Netwerkbeheer, Business Analyse, BI/Reporting en Development.

Jouw profiel:

  • Minimaal een afgeronde MBO 4 opleiding richting ICT Beheer / Informatica;
  • Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring als System Engineer;
  • Aantoonbare kennis van Linux (bijv. RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu);
  • Aantoonbare kennis van PostgreSQL beheer;
  • Kennis van Oracle databases is een pré;
  • Analytisch sterk, communicatief vaardig en oplossingsgericht;
  • Goede beheersing van Nederlands en Engels in woord en geschrift.
