The role is remote within the United States, with quarterly travel to Latrobe, Pennsylvania.

Accountabilities

  • Define and execute the global pricing strategy for the Metal Cutting business, aligning pricing, margins, portfolio, channel, and growth objectives.
  • Establish pricing architecture, governance frameworks, approval thresholds, decision rights, and performance standards across regions.
  • Develop differentiated pricing strategies based on customer segments, channels, applications, product families, markets, and geographic requirements.
  • Improve price realization and profitability by identifying and reducing leakage from discounts, rebates, concessions, special pricing agreements, freight, and contractual terms.
  • Advance price waterfall, pocket margin, cost-to-serve, customer profitability, and product mix analytics to strengthen commercial decision-making.
  • Coordinate pricing responses to inflation, foreign exchange fluctuations, tariffs, material costs, and competitive market developments.
  • Develop value-based pricing approaches for standard products, engineered solutions, custom tooling, and new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to translate technical performance, productivity improvements, tool life, and customer outcomes into measurable commercial value.
  • Lead pricing strategy and analytical support for global and strategic accounts, including contract development, renewals, negotiations, and special-pricing programs.
  • Model pricing and profitability scenarios that account for regional conditions, volume, product mix, currency, logistics, rebates, and contractual obligations.
  • Strengthen contract and special-pricing governance through standardized review processes, scorecards, renewal practices, and approval mechanisms.
  • Develop pricing dashboards, analytics, and performance scorecards covering price realization, leakage, profitability, contract health, exceptions, and value capture.
  • Establish reliable pricing data foundations and consistent performance definitions across the business.
  • Lead business requirements and adoption priorities for pricing systems, workflow automation, and digital tools, including predictive analytics and AI-enabled recommendations.
  • Build pricing capabilities across Sales, Product Management, Finance, Customer Growth & Support, and other commercial functions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop regional pricing teams while promoting accountability, fact-based decision-making, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate pricing recommendations, business risks, and performance outcomes to senior leadership and facilitate global pricing governance initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8–12 years of experience in strategic pricing, commercial strategy, or a related field.
  • Leadership experience in strategic pricing, commercial strategy, or engineered-to-order environments.
  • Proven success leading global or multi-region teams.
  • Strong understanding of cost estimation, pricing governance, margin management, and commercial profitability.
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, align cross-functional teams, and implement consistent global standards.
  • Strong understanding of pricing performance measurement, margin optimization, and commercial decision-making.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineered-to-order, or metal cutting environments.
  • Familiarity with pricing analytics tools, workflow automation, and digital pricing platforms.
  • Knowledge of value-based pricing methodologies and strategic account management.
  • Experience developing global pricing frameworks and leading cross-functional commercial transformation initiatives.
  • Remote work arrangement within the United States.
  • Quarterly business travel to Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
  • Opportunity to lead global pricing strategy across a diverse industrial product portfolio.
  • Senior leadership role with visibility and collaboration across international commercial and operational teams.
  • Opportunity to shape enterprise-wide pricing capabilities, governance frameworks, and digital enablement initiatives.
  • Professional development through strategic projects involving pricing analytics, value-based methodologies, and commercial transformation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
