Overview of the Role

This Senior Dev OpsI role is crucial in the company, focusing on enabling and empowering developers to handle AI and ML operations effectively. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and the ability to mentor and communicate these skills to others.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Enablement and Training: Act as a consultant and enabler to the engineering cluster, supporting them in managing their infrastructure related to AI and ML operations effectively..
  2. Technical stack: The company is migrating to Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS and Datadog. The code base includes Python, Node JS and PHP
  3. Standardization and Process Improvement: Work towards standardizing processes and introducing best practices within the team, moving away from ad-hoc methods to more structured and efficient ways of working​.
  4. Business Understanding and Communication: Develop a strong understanding of the business context and possess an entrepreneurial mindset. Share technical expertise at a high level to contribute meaningfully to the company's strategic goals​.
  5. Effective Communication and Team Interaction: Engage in active communication within the team, not just working in isolation but networking, interacting, and sharing knowledge with team members​.
  6. Infrastructure Development and Management: Play a key role in developing and managing the AI infrastructure, ensuring its alignment with the company's broader goals and the ease of use by developers​.

Who you are

  1. Senior-Level Expertise: Proven experience in a senior DevOps role. You don't need extensive experience in AI and ML but you should have an interest in building your skillset with these technologies
  2. Technical Proficiency: Strong background in container-based orchestrators, and databases. It's nice if you have experience in setting up and managing complex AI infrastructures.
  3. Leadership and Vision: Ability to bring technical leadership and vision to the team, guiding and influencing technology decisions and best practices.
  4. Communication Skills: As this role is more consultative, the bar of communication will be a lot higher than a typical DevOps role.
  5. Innovative Mindset: An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong understanding of business operations and the ability to align technical solutions with business needs.
  6. Operational Expertise: Experience in cloud operations and managing core infrastructure tools like DataDog and GitLab, with a modern DevOps mindset​​.

This role is ideal for someone who is not only technically proficient but also possesses strong leadership and communication skills, capable of driving innovation and efficiency in AI and ML operations within the organization.
