We’re a leading, trusted not-for-profit organisation, and we’re proudly local to Western Australia, welcoming people in our aged care homes, retirement villages, community housing and more. Our trusted reputation is built on a history of an experienced team and person-centred care. We care for our residents and clients across 34 facilities throughout metropolitan Perth and regional Western Australia and look after each individual in the way they want to be cared for. We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to provide daily support to our residents at the Bethanie Support Service Office in West Perth. This role is offered on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday - 38 hours per week. The Role

Leading the month-end and balance sheet reconciliation processes, supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.

Preparing and reviewing annual financial statements, audit working papers and technical position papers, and coordinating the external audit process.

Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including statutory, regulatory, prudential and tax reporting.

Providing technical accounting expertise and advice across complex accounting and financial reporting matters.

Preparing cash flow forecasts and monitoring liquidity, investments, debt and covenant requirements to support effective treasury management.

Providing technical guidance, coaching and review across the financial accounting team.

Maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the continuous improvement of Bethanie’s Financial Control Framework, policies and procedures. Contributing to improvements in financial processes, controls and reporting.

About You

Degree qualified in Finance or Accounting, with CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.

Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience, with strong technical accounting, financial reporting, analytical and problem-solving capability.

A confident communicator with strong organisational skills, able to manage prioritises, coach and support team members and work collaboratively across the business.

Current Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain one, is required Aged care or community care experience is highly regarded.
