The role, at a glance:

The Senior Product Verification Engineer is a highly experienced technical leader who influences quality across the entire team and product area. This role is responsible for generating test architectures, driving the adoption of best-in-class testing practices, and proactively removing obstacles for the whole team. The Senior Product Verification Engineer communicates effectively with non-technical stakeholders, makes complex test infrastructure decisions, and consistently advances the capabilities and output of the Product Verification organization.

How you'll contribute:

  • Define and drive the overall test strategy and architecture for one or more product areas, ensuring coverage spans all software form factors and deployment targets —web, mobile, thick-client GUI, embedded firmware, and cloud- or server-based services interacting with networked devices
  • Write clear, collaborative test plans and engage the entire team to align on what is being tested (and what is not), fostering shared ownership of quality
  • Establish test approaches for complex multi-device and multi-application system interactions, including architectures where remotely-hosted software controls or interfaces with hardware devices
  • Design, write, and execute manual and automated tests; produce detailed reports and provide timely, accurate updates on testing progress and automation activities
  • Communicate technical quality status and risks clearly to non-technical audiences, including product management and leadership
  • Exhibit excellent judgment in decisions spanning many aspects of the product and testing lifecycle
  • Act as a key resource to unblock and enable the whole team on complex testing challenges
  • Reduce the complexity of test processes, services, and infrastructure to increase team throughput
  • Research and lead the adoption of new testing systems and technologies
  • Routinely and consistently advance the team’s quality practices and culture
  • Provide accurate time and complexity estimates for substantial elements of test
  • planning and execution
  • Establish and maintain a strong ownership record for product quality in the assigned area
  • Proactively identify and pursue additional quality improvement opportunities
  • Mentor and develop PV engineers at all levels
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, hardware, and product
  • management teams
  • Engage early in design and development discussions to advocate for testability from the outset
  • Architect and own the team’s test automation strategy and frameworks, seeking specialized input when appropriate; drive meaningful increases in automated coverage and CI/CD integration across the product area
  • Build, maintain, and improve automation software and frameworks, and support the setup and maintenance of the test environment
  • Maintain clear documentation of automation processes, test environments, and test execution
  • Champion the adoption of AI/LLM-based tools across the PV team; identify high-value applications (intelligent test generation, log analysis, anomaly detection) and lead their integration into team workflows
  • Represent the PV organization in cross-functional technical discussions
  • Contribute to hiring and technical evaluation of PV candidates
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

A successful candidate should have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject, or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of Product Verification or Quality Assurance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
  • Proven experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks for complex, networked systems
  • Expert-level knowledge of Python scripting and test automation; strong experience with CI/CD integration (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript; experience with test frameworks and tools (e.g., Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium, Bash, Postman, JMeter)
  • Knowledge of Linux and various Windows platforms
  • Experience with source control, code review, and test cycle management tools
  • Demonstrated track record of driving automation initiatives that measurably improved team velocity and quality
  • Experience evaluating and deploying AI/LLM-based tools within a QA or engineering team; ability to articulate ROI and best practices to peers and management
  • Deep understanding of networking (ISO model, switches, routers, TCP/IP, Telnet/SSH, SNMP)
  • Demonstrated experience leading test strategy for embedded software and hardware-software integration
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow other engineers
  • Strong organizational skills; able to drive multiple concurrent workstreams

Some nice-to-haves:

  • Extensive AV and digital video product experience
  • Ability to analyze complex cloud-based systems down to the data flow level to identify potential bottlenecks or failure points
  • Knowledge of DevOps (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, EC2, RDS)

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
