Account Executive - Hunter/Consultative Sales (US & Canada - Remote)

About the Role

Blacksmith is seeking a consultative Account Executive to drive growth across both project-based engagements and ongoing marketing services. You’ll work with a diverse range of clients across industries, partnering closely with SDRs, strategists, and leadership to win high-value business and expand existing accounts. This role suits a confident communicator who excels in virtual selling, deep discovery, and managing complex, multi-step sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the full sales cycle from discovery through close.

- Generate new business while growing existing client relationships.

- Lead consultative discovery, solution development, and stakeholder alignment.

- Manage complex deals with multiple decision-makers.

- Partner with SDRs to convert warm leads into opportunities.

- Deliver compelling virtual presentations and proposals.

- Negotiate contracts and support legal/procurement processes.

- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure strong client outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

- 5+ years of experience in a quota-carrying Account Executive role.

- Proven track record selling high-value solutions through consultative sales.

- Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes.

- Experience managing longer, structured deal cycles (track record of 3 - 12 months sales cycles)

- Strong executive presence and communication skills.

- Comfortable selling in a primarily remote environment.

- Familiarity with modern sales tools and CRM platforms.
