Job Description:
Blake Willson Group (BWG) is seeking an experienced Senior Federal Financial Systems SME with extensive expertise in FACTS (PeopleSoft) Federal financial systems, General Ledger, Asset Management, and Federal Financial Accounting. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of PeopleSoft and FACTS functionality, with the ability to analyze complex accounting transactions, troubleshoot system issues, and support accurate and timely financial reporting. In this position, you will also:
- Build and utilize custom queries to support financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting requirements.
- Analyze entry events and review EERT/PART entries to validate transactions prior to posting.
- Apply detailed knowledge of sub-module-to-General Ledger relationships and associated reconciliation requirements.
- Analyze asset accounting transactions and identify potential discrepancies or system impacts.
- Support GLKK reconciliations and investigate Tie Point outages and related reconciliation issues.
- Analyze posting logic issues and determine their potential impact on accounting records and financial reporting.
- Research and troubleshoot complex PeopleSoft and FACTS accounting system issues.
- Support financial reporting and year-end close activities through accurate transaction analysis and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with accounting, financial management, and technical teams to resolve system and accounting issues.
- Document findings, recommendations, and system impacts to support audit readiness and financial reporting requirements.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience supporting FACTS (PeopleSoft) Federal financial programs, including FACTS General Ledger (GL) and FACTS Asset Management (AM).
- 10+ years of experience supporting Federal Financial Accounting using the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL).
- 5+ years of experience building custom queries and analyzing complex Federal financial transactions.
Desired Skills:
- Experience analyzing entry events and reviewing EERT/PART entries for posting.
- Strong understanding of sub-module-to-General Ledger relationships and reconciliation requirements.
- Experience supporting asset accounting transactions, GLKK reconciliations, Tie Point outages, posting logic issues, and related financial system impacts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex financial system issues.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is desired.
- Experience supporting Federal financial reporting and year-end close activities.
- Experience supporting financial management programs within the Department of War (DoW) or Intelligence Community (IC).
- Experience working across accounting, financial management, and technical teams to resolve PeopleSoft and FACTS issues.
At Blake Willson Group, we believe in transparency and fairness in compensation practices. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $190,000 in the United States. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
