Blitz enables brands with 60 mins to Same Day Delivery; powering quick commerce experience on their own platforms. We are seeking a highly customer obsessed, highly energetic & skilled professional to join us as a City Head role in the Operations team. He will be the owner of the entire quick commerce & same-day delivery operations at Blitz making it convenient for brands to scale with Blitz in the entire city on the demand front as well as build operational excellence along with scaling the gigs & fleet on the supply front.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and manage the same-day delivery network across the assigned region, including last-mile delivery stations and operational teams.
  • Lead and coach Team Leaders and Operations Executives to achieve operational targets, with a strong focus on on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive operational excellence through effective planning, execution, process improvements, and scalable business practices.
  • Implement manpower and roster planning, ensuring adequate resource allocation based on order volumes and business requirements.
  • Monitor key operational metrics, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to improve delivery performance.
  • Manage client requirements and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Oversee Cash on Delivery (COD) collections, timely reconciliation, and coordination with Finance teams.
  • Establish performance monitoring systems and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation degree (Math, Statistics, Engineering, Science, Business, Logistics) from an accredited university with at-least 5 Years of similar experience.
  • Metric Focused and ability to dive deep with data.
  • A proven track record of implementing, delivering large projects and communicating effectively to the senior Level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills required
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment when working in stressful situations
  • Decisive, confident, and experienced with influencing others
  • Knowledge and understanding of last-mile logistics will be a huge plus
